Thank you for allowing our family to stay in your beautiful home. This was our first experience with a vacation rental and everything about it has FAR exceeded our expectations. We all felt right at home upon our arrival and throughout our stay. When we arrived, we walked the beach and were greeted by two bald eagles flying above. One of the eagles was nice enough to perch on the pylons near the house so we could take pictures. After dinner, we enjoyed watching the sunset and were pleasantly surprised to see and otter capture a crab, bring it to shore in front of the house, and munch it down. We all went to bed with the windows open and listened to the sounds of the water against the shore. The next day we enjoyed the views of the drive along Lake Crescent on our way to SolDuc Falls. We took time to explore the Salmon Cascades, The Ancient Groves. Awesome sights everywhere! We returned to the house tired and satisfied from a long day and were able to see dolphins surfacing in the bay. Also, a deer came into the yard next door to spy on the people staying in the house. We spent our last day celebrating our dad's 73rd birthday with a drive up to Hurricane Ridge and some short walks. We saw numerous deer including a few moms with their fawns. The views of the snow capped peaks were amazing! We also took a short trip to the Elwna Valley and saw Madison Falls. This was a perfect conclusion to our stay. We would love to stay here again if we come back to the area. Thank you again for your hospitality and welcoming home.

"Serene Waterfront House - Super Relaxing Weekend!!!"
Left on 05/10/2014 for a stay in May 2014 | davidahnReviewed May 10, 2014Stayed May 2014
My wife and I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend at Janet and Joe's beautiful home. It still smells new and had all the pots and pans we needed (we cook a lot), including a great hollow-edge chef's knife (good knives are rare for rental properties). We enjoyed a sunset dinner on the rear deck, and it was beautiful... the water was glassy and still, magical that first night. We met Janet and Joe as we were checking out, and they're super friendly, down to earth, and free with great tips on things to do and route advice. Highly recommended! Read more
Hi, Anne and David Thank you so much for your kindness! We love to see our guests came and enjoy our place. I stock the kitchen for the convenience of our guests because I like to cook also. Have a nice summer! Joe and Janet

"best in sequim"

We have stayed at 6 different vacation rentals in the Sequim area and this place is by far, the best we have experienced. Right on the beach, well equipped, modern and spacious are some of the nice points there. My wife usually likes to clean up a bit whenever we arrive to a new rental, but this was very clean to begin with. Being able to get the cleaning fee refunded if you clean up afterwards is a really nice bonus which we never experienced at previous places. We had ours promptly returned 100%! The extra touches such as nice teas, coffee beans with a grinder and various cooking ingredients were appreciated. Since there is a nice fully equipped kitchen and an excellent propane BBQ right outside on the balcony, it was very pleasurable to prepare our meals there. We can't wait to return! Read more
We know when we travel, we spend a lot of money on various things. We'd like to save our guests expenses including refundable cleaning deposit (instead of one time cleaning fee), supply assorted daily needs. To ensure we have a very clean and comfortable place for our guests. We enjoy seeing happy guests! We welcome you back!
Thank you very much for the nice review!

Janet and Joe have built a fabulous beachfront home on Diamond Point. The location is quiet, peaceful and serene. The house has a wonderful view of Protection Island and we especially loved the local eagles that have made their home nearby.
Janet made for an easy payment process and check-in was a breeze. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle.
Lastly - don't forget to check out Eaglemount winery & cider on the road to Port Townsend. Amazing ciders!
Thank you for the NICE review! We appreciate your stay.

My husband and I spent a long weekend at this beautiful property in May. I cannot say enough about how great our stay was! The home is lovely with all the amenities one could need and lots of extra "little touches"--a telescope for viewing, a tea service with an assortment of teas, coffee, etc. The home is spacious with stunning views of The Strait of Juan de Fuca and nature from every window, comfortable beds, and a marvelous kitchen. The beach is a few steps away--great for a morning of beachcombing, walking,or kayaking. The owners have provided a well-maintained, spotlessly-clean property that is close to so many activities. There are lavender farms, water sports, Hurricane Ridge near Port angeles, quaint little Sequim, and our favorite place to eat, The Black Bear Diner! I would highly recommend this wonderful property to anyone who loves the water, comforts of home, and a multitude of adventures to explore. My husband and I will definitely be return visitors every chance we get! Read more
