First off, I have rented from Dollywood Cabin rental once before, summer 2013. The company it's self was great, good service and friendly people when ordering and at check in. But the cabin was bad. But my family loves the area and all the great things to do, so we went back. This time, the cabin was great!!! Since they are owned by a private individual, the cabins look the same on the outside, but do vary on the inside a lot. Which is good in some ways and not in others. I asked when ordering if they could tell me more about what was in the cabin, but they don't know, since each owner provides different stuff. So its hit or miss. Wild Thing was a bit smaller then my previous cabin rental. Which meant the kitchen was smaller,as well as the upstairs bathroom. The smaller kitchen didn't bother us, it still had all the stuff we needed for 4 people, only one minor issue, the dishwasher is a tad old, kinda hard to get it to start and was supper loud. The Bathroom upstairs has a huge tub, which we never used, kinda wonder if there's enough hot water to actually fill it, but I'm a shower person, so the tub was more for looks.Nice regular tub/shower combo in the downstairs bathroom. Also, only one sink in each bathroom, NO counter space. I swear a man designed it, cause woman have a lot of stuff, and I really had no where to set up my make-up, curling iron, straightener and so on. Ended up using all the space around the big tub, was kinda funny. Now for the good stuff!!! There are 2 king size beds and they have really good mattress on them!!Like the best I have ever had away from home, the value of a good nights sleep is priceless!!! Also, the last cabin we rented echoed really really bad and the pool table was ragged. Wild Thing for some reason, was a lot quieter and the pool table was playable. The views from the porch are AWESOME! We all loved it so much we spent most of the time outside, and upstairs has a seat swing, really nice.Dollywood theme park had fire works every night (they do that for a couple of weeks in the summer not sure when it goes to one night a week) Anyway,we had front row seats to the show, it was spectacular! We never missed it, it was so good! They have great internet, a lot of game consoles, xbox, sony playstation2, dvd players, great Flat screen TV in living room and downstairs bed room, upstairs still has old style TV, but it worked fine. Need to bring your own games and movies though. Overall we loved this cabin and will rent it again

I took my wife and kids to this cabin at last minute for her B-Day on april 11-13 and when we arrived I was surpised of how big and beautiful it was. I was a little discuraged because there were cabins all over and you didnt have that privacy. The views were amazing, everything worked great.
My biggest issue was the area since there was a car show that weekend and everytime you got in your car to go anywhere, you had to sit on a massive traffic. I'm from Miami and I couln't understand that traffic. Took me 3 1/2 hours to move 1.7 miles.
This is a very nice decorated cabin and well maintained.

Very enjoyable experience. By far our favorite cabin in the resort. Very nice amenities throughout. Only complaint is there is only 2 pool sticks and one of them is cracked. And also need a bridge for the pool table for shorter people. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable stay.

We have rented many cabins in the Star Crest Resort over the years and have been very happy with all of them but Wild Thing is now one of our favorites. The furnishings were nice and the beds were very comfortable. My daughter loved the video game and the pool table. It has a great view of the Pigeon Forge city area but is up very high which makes the view even better. I also like that there are no other cabins or roads below the back decks. I highly recommend Wild Thing!

The pictures on the internet did not do justice to how nice and beautifully decorated the cabin and view were. We were "awed" when we walked in and checked out both floors and the views from the balconies.
Great Memories made here and we will never forget how much we enjoyed staying here.
Thanks to the owners for sharing their cabin with others!

I have never stayed in a cabin and this was my first experience. I was grateful to Brittany who works for Dollywood cabins in helping me choose the right cabin. I loved staying in "Wild Thing". The view is absolutely gorgeous and the cabin was decoreated nicely. The only regret I have is that I didn't have more time to spend in the cabin itself. This is a cabin I would reccomend to anyone who loves an impressive view!

My husband and I sneak away to The Wild Thing 2 or 3 times a year, so when my girlfriends wanted to plan a trip to the mountains, I jumped at the chance to show them the place we love so much. They had never been during Christmas, and as expected, The Wild Thing was beautifully decorated as was all of Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed all the Christmas shows at Dollywood. They loved it! We have stayed at other cabins, but we love The Wild Thing because it is so beautifully furnished and the kitchen is so well-equipped. We'll be back!

I was so pleased with how easy the check in process was; Sarah was so friendly and helpful. Even with all the phones ringing and other guests coming in and out, she focused on us and made it feel like we were important. The cabin was wonderful! It's at the tippy top of the mountain, so the view is unobstructed and lovely. Plus it took us less than 10 minutes to get from the cabin to our parking space at Dollywood. Great location! The size of the cabin was just right for the 2 of us. It seemed like there were sleeper sofas all over the place, but I wouldn't recommend depriving someone of the pleasure of sleeping on one of those two beds! They are the most comfortable things I've slept on in a while! Investigate the kitchen really well before you go grocery shopping: we found a griddle under the sink when we were cleaning up for checkout. It's not a very large kitchen, but it had all the essential utensils for cooking. Bring your own salt and pepper from home if you can; otherwise you'll have to buy some. Read more

We had an awesome time at this cabin with our kids. Even loved watching the Bear off the deck one morning.
We had a wonderful vacation staying in The Wild Thing. We were close enough to visit attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg yet far enough away that it was peaceful when back at the cabin. The cabin was clean and well furnished. There was a nice playground that is within walking distance for families with kids. We were absolutely taken way by the view. Our kids loved hearing the train whistle blow in Dollywood throughout the day.

This was our second time renting through Dollywood Vacations,check-in was very easy and fast. The view from this cabin was wonderful, could see the Wild Eagle Coaster at Dollywood, hear the train whistle and see the lights of Pigeon Forge at night. The cabin was clean, beds were very comfortable, although we felt the cabin was a little too over decorated downstairs. The loft area was great!! the decor was your typical cabin looking decor, which is what I loved!I slept with the blinds open every night so I could wake to the beautiful sunrise!! Everything was beautiful. Will have to vacation 2 or 3 times to do everything that is offered though. Can't see or do everything you want in one trip. Cades Cove is a must it was absolutely beautiful. You have to hike and see a waterfall - amazing. I will be back to Tennessee. Wild Thing cabin was beautiful although the shower in the down stairs restroom did not work. Check in was very easy and did not take long. We were on our way to the cabin within 5 minutes. Flyers are in just about any place you stop with info on things to do. Read more
Thank you for staying with us last month. Cades Cove truly is a must see destination while in East Tennessee. I had maintenance visit that cabin and the shower was function normally at that time. During your next visit please notify the office immediately with any problems so that we can take care of them for you at that time. We hope to see you again soon.
