The Battenburg Studio Apartment in Shanklin Villa is part of the family run Garden Isle Hotels, a local company with over 20 years experience on the Isle of Wight. Guests of Shanklin Villa have unlimited free use of the indoor and outdoor leisure facilities at the nearby Luccombe Hotels.

The outdoor facilities of both hotels share a stunning 4 acre clifftop location and can be accessed from either Luccombe Hall Hotel or Luccombe Manor Hotel.

Both hotels have an ample on site car parking or you may prefer to walk as it is just a short stroll from Shanklin Villa.

Getting around

The apartment is located a 5 minute walk from the nearest bus route travelling to either Sandown or Ventnor. The main bus station is located in the centre of Shanklin offering connections to other destinations on the Island and is also approximately a 5 minute walk from the apartment building. Shanklin Train Station is a 10 minute walk from the apartment and from here you can catch a train to Lake, Sandown, Brading, Smallbrook Junction, Ryde St Johns, Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head.

“Very handily placed but not a comfortable flat”

Good bathroom and kitchen facilities but only a 4' 6" bed. A small, poor quality, unwatchable TV precluded satisfactory viewing on most evenings.

“great accommodation and location.”

Very good apartment and great location for seafront, restaurants and shops. This was our second visit for my birthday, we had a 4 night break in February 2015. As we enjoyed it so much in June 2014 we booked for another week in June 2015.

Nice studio apartment finished to high standard with well equipped kitchen, easy walking distance to shanklin, local pubs and restaurants. Be a bit cosy if there where four of you but great for two.
