Charmingly restored La Bianca on private farming estate- private heated pool & garden
Description from the manager
Cozy and charming, La Bianca is a beautiful spot for a family or two couples. The two bedroom semi-attached restored farmhouse just outside Siena offers a private retreat with views of the rolling Tuscan hills and a location on a farming estate. If you’re traveling with a larger group, you can rent out neighboring Villa Roseto at the same time.
During your stay, enjoy a stroll around the sunny, well-maintained grounds and have dinner on the terrace — a portable grill is available upon request. Be sure to look up from your laps in the heated private pool to take in the view of the countryside. Though the villa’s exteriors are all traditional stone and tile, inside, there’s an Internet connection and satellite TV.
The villa’s white interiors and neutral furnishings create an atmosphere of airy calm. A huge white fireplace with a hearth big enough to sit inside makes a statement in the living room; it’s surrounded by a plush sofa and ottoman that are perfect for putting your feet up. In the fully equipped eat-in kitchen, a wood backsplash and cabinets are a nod to the villa’s rustic setting.
La Bianca’s two bedrooms have the same restful feeling, with white walls, high ceilings and antique dark wood beds. One bedroom has a queen bed and a private bathroom with bathtub and shower; the other bedroom has two twin beds and a private bathroom with shower. If you need even more private space, there’s also a study.
Take time out from exploring La Bianca and drive ten minutes into Siena, where well-preserved buildings cluster around a medieval square. Architecture and history buffs won’t want to miss the town of San Gimignano and its famed skyline, which are 37 miles away. It’s a two hour drive to Lucca, and a 2½-hour drive to Rome.

What to do in the Siena region of Tuscany?
The medieval town of Siena is built across several hills and valleys; that's why you will find yourself walking up and down through the historical center. The lack of car traffic makes it a wonderful place to stroll, especially with kids! Despite sometimes being packed with tourists, the city always has a quiet and easygoing feel. A must-see is the shell-shaped square called Il Campo. This is the focal point of the city and the venue for the internationally renowned horse race, The Palio, which takes place on July 2nd and again on August 16th each year. Don't forget to enjoy a gelato while on the Campo!
Chianti's must see sights are the wine villages of Castellina, Radda and Gaiole. Along the road visit the Badia di Coltibuono and/or Castello di Brolio and do not forget to pick up some wine to enjoy at the villa! Drive through the landscape of the Crete to Buonconvento and to the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore. Many visitors go to the Abbey to visit the great monastic cloisters and to hear the Gregorian chants sung by the monks (Weekdays: 6:15 pm Vespers and conventional Holy Mass. Sundays and Holidays: 11:00 am Solemn Holy Mass and 6:30 pm Vespers and Benedictine Holy Sacraments).
Visit San Gimignano, famous for its skyline, and Volterra, renown for alabaster artifacts. The small fortress cities within easy driving distance of one another, each offer their own special appeal. Colle Val d'Elsa is famous for crystal manufacturing. However, the old town/historical center, Colle Alta, deserves to be seen. Particularly interesting is Palazzo Campana, which looks like a city gate, or a triumphal arch, and dominates the main street of Colle. The Cathedral shows a rich collection of paintings from the XVII century. Spend a full day shopping at the Mall in Montevarchi where many designers have located their outlets – there you'll find Prada, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and many others.
Additional amenities include: entertainment center, outdoor furniture, cd player, study, alfresco dining, hairdryer....Read more

A few miles east of Siena put us in a good location to take day trips to Pisa, Florence, Siena. We even took the train 2 hours north to Venice for an over night out from the train station out of Siena. We had the chef, Emily, come in for one night and cook us a nice dinner. We ate in front of the fireplace in the living room. We wanted two bathrooms and we were just two people. It worked out very well. Barbara, the owner is very pleasant and is willing to accommodate. One morning we took the day off from day trips and took a long walk in the country away from the Villa which is recommended. - KD A., Connecticut, USA

La Bianca is a lovely place to stay. It is beautifully appointed and has an elegance that doesn\'t detract from comfort. It was a wonderful place to return to after a day of exploring the countryside. We had exceptional weather for October - 30 degrees - so we enjoyed the pool almost every day. Our hosts were very nice, although we didn\'t see them very much. When we arrived, we were greeted by one of their staff , B\", who even led us to the nearest grocery store and back so we wouldn\'t get lost.\" - Christina D., , Canada
