Bungalow on Lough Gill with Steinway piano.

This 4 acre Lakeside Lough Gill site, near Parke's Castle, between Sligo Town and Dromahair, lies on the North Shore looking to the South East through 180 degrees to the dying sun in the West. It is a bungalow property with complete privacy and is only visible to the passing ferry taking lake sightseers the length of Lough Gill and back, or, the trolling fishermen lazily languishing their rods at 10mph hoping for a moving catch of a passing salmon. Our boat is moored across the lake in a quiet lagoon, and offers to the experienced handler, days and evenings of alternating salmon or evening trout fishing at leisure. Additional Location Information

This is far from the maddening crowd, and yet only 10km from Sligo Town or Dromahair. The site overlooks Yeat's Innisfree Island , looking South, and the nearest neighbour is considerably removed, leaving an undisturbed spectacular elevated view of all that comes and goes on the lake itself. The house is a deceptively large 1600 sq feet Bungalow, with a phenomenal master bedroom, all the fronting windows being large and panoramic. The kitchen and sitting room are open plan, and the ten cats are not..but they are feral, good company and live outside. They have their use. The sleeping accommodation has two rooms to the rear of the house, and the master allows one to wake to a sun warmed body as it rises from the East, through a double door'd window, allowing early coffee sipping from ones bedside. Stand and enjoy, live and be moved. "I went out to the Hazel Woods, all around us, because a fire was in my head. I cut and peeled a hazel wand and hooked a berry to a thread. When white moths were on the wing, and moth like stars had flickered out, I dropped the berry in the lake and caught a little sea borne trout"........with apologies to the great man himself, who must have met Aenghus wandering on the island beyond us, as he faded through the brightening air!
