“Up and Down”

The service is always very good with Canyon Services, but we often have minor problems or small details which could make the experience better. This time we had a plumbing problem which caused overflows into the hall and food items everywhere. The hot tub was only adequate with the heat, and something was finicky with the satellite receiver. It may have just been old, as resetting several times seemed to fix it. Our firewood was not stocked when we got there.
Overall, the unit is quite nice and well updated. Jan and crew work hard to make you happy, but the results can be inconsistent. We have been coming here for at least 6 years, and will be back, but could also be happier.
Thank you for your candid review. We value your opinion and your comments will help us tweak our services to better ensure excellent guest experience.
Our staff works hard to respond to mechanical and other breakdowns as efficiently and quickly as possible. It is rather impossible to know when there might be such events - but it is our hope that we can mitigate such issues with as little disruption to guests as possible.
Please accept our apologies that the firewood was not stocked prior to your arrival. I hope you called the office to have someone bring it to you and that you let them know that the hot tub needed adjustment. Hot tubs in a cold mountain environment are a constant maintenance issue that the maintenance department works on all the time. There are also heath department laws that require that tubs cannot be hotter than a certain temperature - so most are set not to go above that temp - even though many guests would like them to.
Again - thank you for your review and we do hope to see you again in the future.

“Alta skier brings family for first time”

5 days of incredible snow and skiing. Day school for our 5 year old beginner was Excellent with focus on keeping her in "comfort zone". Our 8 and 11 year old boys enjoyed the middle and advanced terrain with mom and dad. Dad had been to alta in pre-children years, nice to learn the mountain is so good with kids also. Certainly safer w/o snowboarders allowed. The condo was convenient, clean, spacious, rustic. Perfect ski vacation!
