The sweet and romantic Casitas of Nah Uxibal include all the comforts of home while sitting right on the soft white sand beach of beautiful Soliman Bay. Soliman Bay is a gated, private community consisting of about 38 private homes. The turquoise Caribbean waters of Soliman are situated along the second largest Reef in the world, and are filled with corals and a wide variety of Sea life. Colorful schools of Fish, Rays, Sea Turtles, Puffers and Barracuda are just a few of the creatures that grace these waters. The water is calm thanks to the protective reef which runs between the two points of Soliman, providing safety from the open sea for the sea life as well as swimmers, kayakers and snorkelers. All this is just outside your door at Nah Uxibal.
Casita IK (Mayan for Wind) and Casita HA (Mayan for water) sit at the front of the property at Nah Uxibal, just about 32 steps from the waters edge. These romantic units with private decks and ocean views are perfect for honeymooners, anniversaries, or couples looking for a special getaway. The full granite kitchen, cozy king bed, and open bali style shower in a beautifully Mexican tiled bathroom make the casita a place that you will want to never leave. The perfect little "home away from home".
Drinking water and daily cleaning is provided for each unit, as well as kayaks, lounge chairs and shade palapas for guest use.
We are very lucky to have Javier and Victoria on site as caretakers. Not only are they wonderful at their jobs but are a warm and friendly couple happy to be there. They will do anything possible to help make your stay enjoyable. Your quarters will be cleaned daily (except Sunday) and linens changed every three days. You will feel very well taken care of in the hands of Javier and Victoria who will become good friends as well.
The Pristine waters of Soliman Bay, in the heart of the Mayan Riviera, provides fabulous snorkeling opportunities for all ages and levels of experience. Protected by the second largest reef in the world, the waters are calm and relatively shallow, making viewing easy and fun. A wide variety of corals and sea life grace these waters with their bright colors and textures. Swimming out to the reef is a great workout, or if you prefer you can take the kayak, tie off to a bouy, and enter the grand elk and staghorn corals.
Staying at Nah Uxibal is a truly magnificent experience, where you become part of an old and sacred world, one so exquisite in it's connectedness that we can't help but be gifted by it's incredible beauty. Closer in, and past the sea grass, (a very important part of the ecosystem) are many a little oasis of brain and other corals, perfect for kids or those who prefer to stay closer to land.
This world is for those who seek closer contact with nature, for here nature rules. The Riviera Maya Coast is a virtual explosion of color and surprise. It is a region for exploration & adventure, or a chance to just let go and relax in a hammock with a good book. Whatever you choose to do on vacation, you will love it at Nah Uxibal, everyone does. ~ Enjoy!TripAdvisor property ID 3641550...Read more

We always do a winter beach vacation and look for waterfront, beach availability and snorkeling. If you want laid back, read a book, have your feet in the sand 24/7, this is the spot. If you need TV, fast internet, room service, nightlife etc, this is not your spot.
The on-site managers Javier and Victoria are the best.

This was our first trip to Mexico and we did a lot of research before booking the main house along with the 2 studios at Nah Uxibal. Even though we had all seen the photos on the website, we were blown away on our first walk-through of the property.
We did a full day excursion with Riviera adventours (excellent!) and made several trips to Tulum, but spent most of the week enjoying the beach and the house. The weather was amazing and the house was perfect. A nice extra was having Mimi to relax on the beach with and accompany us on walk down the beach.
Victoria made us a wonderful meal and Javier would rake the beach every morning as we watched the sunrise. I think they were always around if we would have needed something, but were never in-our-face.
The accomodations were more than enough for my wife and I and our 4 grown childen. The upstairs loft in the main house is much bigger than it looks in the photos.

I read that Soliman Bay was the backdrop for a Corona Beer commercial.
I certainly understand why!
Booked both casitas that provided a quiet, peaceful beachfront location. Really beachfront! Thirty steps from thatched roof porches, you are in the ocean! Kayak or walk into gorgeous clear water. We have visited many Caribbean islands several times. This bay rates very high on clear blue water! Calm water but you hear the small waves roll in. Weather this time of year is wonderful. Not hot and a cool breeze. Storms roll in and out, some with thunder and lightening.
We felt very safe with 24 hour security at the entrance to Soliman Bay and on the beach. There are other vacation rental homes on the the bay but we did not see any that were as close to the shore as Nahuxibal. The property is well maintained with lush tropical landscaping. Casita IK provides stunning unobstructed views of the beach and bay. Casita Ha offers beach and bay views through beautiful palms and plants, with more privacy on your porch due to the landscaping. They are both great.
Roomy accommodations are very comfy cozy and perfect for two people. We had shampoo, conditioner, soaps and well equipped kitchen items in cupboards and drawers. Items left from previous guests range from sunscreen, a few groceries to alcohol. These were extra bonuses, and do not expect anything in particular. Not available in the casitas are microwave ovens and a hair blow dryer. No television, no big deal! Wifi worked pretty well.
Inside the bathroom but outdoor (very private) large shower is just plain cool! Ceiling fans kept us comfortable. Incredibly kind and attentive caretakers if you have questions, requests and general conversation. They never intrude, but are present for you. Nahuxibal.com offers great photos and info. Owners are truly wonderful. The entire bay is secluded and not a crazy party scene. Relax, have fun and re-energize at Nahuxibal. Don't hesitate, book now!
“Tranquil, casitas on lovely Solomon Bay with excellent staff.”

I would not hestitate to return. Running on the road and beach, then a swim and snorkel in the beautiful bay was our morning routine. The staff was very accommodating and efficient. The town of Tulum was a 10 minute ride into town. Some restaurants available via a walk on the beach. A perfect vacation for us.
“Beautiful breezes all the time, excellent place to stay, safe, p”

What a wonderful experience my friend and I had at Nah Uxibal! We spent 4 excellent days in Casita Ha, and never left the bay for the entire time. You do not want to leave, it is so peaceful, safe, beautiful, tranquil, and you are well taken care of by Javier, Victoria, and also the wonderful property manager/security manager for Soliman Bay. I was also shown the new house next door by the very happy renter. It is beautiful !!! The pool is great, out door grill/kitchen, hammocks, safe, although I really didn't feel like I needed it, but always good to be safe. The snorkeling is very nice, and the bay is coming back to life, new life>>>It is nice to enter in the sand paths just to the left as you are looking at the water. I will most definetly return to Nah Uxibal. Thank you Jeanette, you were a pleasure to work with...
