Description

No. 2 The Mariners is in the middle of a small terrace of 4 cottages converted from what was originally the village store, above which the Mariners used to sleep in the days when Solva was a thriving port. Hence its name. It is a comfortable, well equipped cottage for up to 6 in 3 spacious bedrooms - recently refurbished to add ensuite toilets to the top floor bedrooms. Bed linen is provided and the beds will be made up for you on arrival, but PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT PROVIDE TOWELS. The twin room on the first floor is en suite and there is a further shower room. Two double bedrooms are on the second floor, now also with ensuite facilities.

One parking space is available ( further chargeable parking available just a few yards away at the harbour) and there is a small, enclosed courtyard at the rear.

If you choose to "eat in" the cottage is very well equipped with pots, pans, matching crockery, cutlery and glasses. But if you wish to "eat out" Lower Solva provides three pubs ranging from cheap and cheerful to Gastropub, and several cafes. St Davids is within a 5 min drive ( or taxi) and also has award winning restaurants, several atmospheric pubs and a super Indian.

The property is non smoking and we don't usually accept pets.

I'm not a fan of this sterile booking by hitting a button process so would be only too happy for guests to ring me with enquiries and for up to date photos.
