Set within a picturesque cobbled courtyard on the award winning Lower Mill Estate with 550 acres of glorious Cotswolds countryside to explore, including seven lakes, three rivers and miles of exclusive walking trails and cycling tracks. Cycle, play tennis or swim in the outdoor heated swimming pool. Take out a canoe or paddle board and be enchanted by water voles, otters and beavers in their natural habitat.
Spacious and open plan, Hobbys Rest has soaring vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a stylish wood burner and spectacular orchard views.
A well-equipped kitchen area, with integrated appliances and
mid-century-modern tableware, complements the overall Scandi style.
There is a relaxed country vibe in the bedroom, with a king-sized oak bed and crisp, cotton linens.
Sleek, modern bathrooms have contemporary fittings and warm Karndean flooring.
A full-width opening glazed screen spans the living area and leads to a private patio within a secluded organic orchard. For the exclusive use of just a handful of cottages, the orchard is an oasis of nature and wildlife.
Hobbys Rest includes free, unlimited wifi; SMART TV with Freeview, NOW TV and Netflix enabled; DAB radio/music centre by PURE.
Entrance to the Mill Village outdoor heated pool and sauna included.
Please note that access to the Lower Mill Estate Art Spa is not included.

Hobbys Rest is a smoke-free and vape-free environment. Smoking, vaping and the charging of e-cigarettes is not permitted.
Secure designated parking is just a 1 minute walk from the cottage - and guests are able to drop their bags at the courtyard gate.
Habitat Housekeeping cleans and prepares Hobbys Rest for guests. The company holds the Visit England Good to Go award and meets government and public health industry standards in relation to Covid 19.

“Hobby’s Rest”
We had a fantastic few days at Hobby’s Rest. The accommodation was superb & the surprise gift from the owners during our stay was a lovely touch. The Lower Mill Estate has so much to offer whilst remaining peaceful & tranquil.

“We had a great stay!”
We had a great stay! The place is very clean, with all the need it facilities and very comfy bed. And not to forget the great views! We went for walks around the lakes and Thames path walk too. We also went canoeing on the lakes - the hire place is very close (where you can hire a variety of water sports items and bikes). And we also spent a few days visiting the surrounding beautiful villages. Janet and Pete were amazing hosts!

We had such a lovely time at this beautiful little cottage! It was very well equipped, clean, modern and so cosy with a huge orchard behind it to use as well. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and also felt very welcomed by the hosts!

“Cotswold Staycation”
Booked as a break after the turmoils of past few months. Looked at lots of properties and Hobby Rest seemed to fit the bill. Not disappointed. Property was fantastic. Spotlessly clean. Everything you needed for the stay was provided. Perfect place for couple, lots of walks around if you want.

“Lovely peaceful location with a stunning surrounding”
We stayed at Hobbys Rest over the New Year period and had a wonderful time. The property was immaculate and very cosy. Everything was provided to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. A particular favourite of ours was the log burner. The complex itself was very peaceful but still had enough activities to keep us entertained. There are some beautiful walks to take around the nature reserve and other areas of the cotswolds are easily accessible. We spent an evening in Cirencester which is only a short drive away. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing get away!
