'Capri' is one of just nine exclusive apartments within La Marinella, an elegant eighteenth-century building in an enviable position, just 50 metres from the beautiful Marinella beach and with spectacular views over the Gulf of Naples.
Sant'Agnello, a delightful little town just 1km from its better-known neighbour Sorrento, is a great choice of location. There are fantastic local restaurants for foodies, plenty of retail therapy, plus bars and clubs for those looking for evening entertainment.
The Marinella beach resort is a brief stroll from your apartment. An agreement between the resort and La Marinella allows you to enjoy access to the restaurant, bar, newsagent, beach cabins and umbrellas. Just perfect for socialising with friends, or merely soaking up the sunshine.
An ideal base for exploring the Sorrento Peninsula, La Marinella is a short trip from Monte Faito. Or why not visit the olive groves and orange trees of the Punta Campanella, a Marine Protected Area? A little further afield are Pompeii, Capri, Ercolano, the Flegrean Fields, Salerno, Paestum and the enchanting Amalfi Coast.
'Capri' is a bright, well-designed apartment on the ground floor of La Marinella, for 2-4 people, measuring 40m2. The apartment boasts high ceilings giving the apartment an airy, light ambience. The central living area includes a modern kitchenette, equipped with a fridge and a freezer, toaster and Italian coffee maker. There is a table for four, and a comfortable double sofa bed, plus satellite television.
From here you enter the double bedroom, simply designed with an efficient use of space and stylish furnishings, including a spacious wardrobe. There is a television and air conditioning.
Also leading from the living room is the bathroom, decorated with clean, crisp white tiles. There is a washbasin, toilet, bidet, hairdryer and a spacious enclosed shower.
There is air conditioning throughout the apartment for your comfort even when temperatures are soaring outside. A Wifi signal is available, although this is not strong throughout the apartment. A telephone is available at extra cost. If required, mosquito nets are on hand. An ironing board and iron are available on request.
Car parking facilities are situated next to the residence, at a cost of 15 Euros per week. However, a vehicle is not essential for a stay at La Marinella, as the town centre is within easy walking distance of SITA bus services to Positano and Sorrento. The railway station (Circumvesuviana Regional Railway) is just 300 metres away and a 20 minute trip will take you to the archaeological site at Pompeii. Further down the same line are Ercolano and Naples.
Should you need assistance during your stay, we will be happy to arrange babysitting, organise trips or recommend medical services.
Please note, there will be a final cleaning charge of â‚Ź 25 added to the rental period at time of the booking.TripAdvisor property ID 2429094...Read more

We thought this would be the highlight of our trip but instead it was the worst week. When we got there the windows were all opened and the place was bright and airy. It was in an old restored building but it made a really good impression. It was a bit loud because it was slightly below ground level and right on an alley. (The alley has a 30 kph speed limit and is supposed to be used only by people who live on it but is apparently used as a shortcut to the beach by everyone - especially loud motorcycles.) We were offered another room that wasn't on the alley but the other room was dark and smelled stale so we stupidly opted to put up with the noise figuring we could just close the windows. Bad mistake! The next morning we locked up and were out all day. When we came back the room smelled like sewer gas. It got worse every day we were there. Don't know if that's what it was or if it was just mold but we finally isolated it to the Kitchen/bath area by closing the door to the bedroom. As my wife said one or the other would have been OK but both the noise and the stink made us miserable. She had a bad cough the whole time we were there.
Otherwise the room wasn't too bad. Kitchen was minimal. Two gas burners a sink, and a fridge. No microwave which had been promised and no salt, pepper or sugar so you have to bring/buy everything. There was just a very small espresso pot for coffee. Had to make four pots every morning. Bed was OK. Tv worked with lots of channels but few in English and no list so a lot of searching.
About a 10 minute walk (uphill) to the train station and local grocery store. 20 minutes to Sorrento. There is a bus but it is expensive and doesn't run very often so plan on a lot of walking. Several restaurants in the neighborhood. About 2 minute walk to "beach." Mostly a dock that you reach via an elevator. Apt. Manager was nice. We should have complained to her but got back every day too late.
Firstly, may we say we are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay in Capri. We are always dismayed to read poor reviews such as this. I'm sorry that you didn't manage to contact your Property Manager, as they would always take action to fix any problems as soon as possible. Alternatively, the Feeling Italy team are always here, in Sorrento, on the number given to you, and we would have gladly come to your apartment to investigate the issues you were experiencing. Again, I'm very sorry that your stay did not live up to your expectations, and just wish we could have had the opportunity to put things right at the time. The Feeling Italy team

“The flat is fine”

I have no complaints about the flat itself-- everything as described and shown. The staff was very helpful
However, it should also say, 'All bets are off in the off-season.' And, the 'season' starts mid-April, not Easter as in many other places.
The beach wasn't open, the bus into Sorrento runs very infrequently. Also, the train between Naples and Sorrento doesn't always stop in Sant agnello, and we ended up having to pay 20 Euros for a taxi as we didn't have the energy to walk the 20-30 minutes with luggage, after dark, not knowing where we were going.
Avoid taxis in the area if you can-- they are very expensive. The buses are inexpensive and easy-- when you can get one. (Much better after mid-April.)
“Comfortable but a bit too far from the life and services of Sorr”

Forget the main picture presenting the apartment on Tripadviser. It is near the sea but offers no such gorgeous view. In fact it is situated directly on a very narrow street in Sant agnello with nothing to see but the wall of the house in front. On the other hand it is very comfortable and offers all the aminities that that we expected, including wi-fi. We found it interesting but too far. Sant agnello is not realy Sorrento.
“Comfortable and secure at "home base" to Capri, Pompeii and Cook”

We enjoyed our stay in the Capri apt. Simple and complete with stove and refrig. The building is big and solid with a secure entrance way. A beautiful patio space is available to relax in or hang clothes to dry. A pleasant walk to the swimming area and wonderful restaurants. Limoncello store very close by! Sorrento is only 1.5miles away and an easy walk along beautiful streets. The land lady is kind and quick to fulfill requests.
