TIDEWATER FARM | SOUTHPORT ISLAND | COVE SIDE | DECKER’S COVE| QUIET GETAWAY | DOCK & FLOAT
Description from the manager
This is Island Living the way we do it in Maine! Tidewater Farm is a beautiful little cottage located on Southport Island, about three miles from Boothbay Harbor. Once you come across the swing bridge, notice the second hand on your watch slow right down. Stunning views, cove and inlets, beautiful gardens and landscaping are to be seen everywhere you look, with plenty of local color thrown in to keep it real.
Launch your kayak from the water's edge. Head out under the bridge to the ocean or take a left and follow the Townsend Gut (the main waterway between the Island and Boothbay Harbor). Take time to explore the many inlets and coves that are an integral part of this little island. Decker’s Cove is also a great spot for fishing. Don’t want to do anything? That’s OK too. Relax in the beautifully landscaped yard or on the open deck. Southport Beach is just on the other side of the island and has views of Hendricks Head Lighthouse.
SO MUCH TO SEE, SO MUCH TO DO!
From your own yard you can kayak, fish and play lawn games. Nearby you will find hiking trails, biking, Southport Historical Society Museum and Southport Beach with views of Hendrick’s Head Light. Visit the Southport Memorial Library and check out the Ruby Slippers and learn about their connection to the area. While you are there, borrow a Rachel Carson book and then explore some of her favorite spots on the Island. Come experience Maine like a native. Visit our local farmers market and farm stands to buy local and buy fresh. Don't forget the seafood. Lobster abounds in this area and can be purchased at the many lobster pounds on the peninsula, including Robinson's Wharf just across the cove.
With all the charm and grace of a true Maine cottage, Tidewater Farm kicks it up a notch with recent renovations and cottage chic décor. WHY BOOK WITH COTTAGE CONNECTION?
Vacation Rentals. Privately Owned. Professionally Managed. Trusted since 1993.
Cottage Connection was one of the first vacation rental companies in the Mid-coast region of Maine. Jeff and Audrey Miller, who own three vacation rental homes themselves had an aha moment when they realized they could not find anyone who ‘got it’ to manager their rentals for them. Since 1993 they have been trusted by homeowners and vacationers to “connect” each family with the perfect cottage for their vacation. As Audrey puts it; “The home they stay in becomes a personality, a part of their lore when a family connects with the right cottage. Whether they want a rustic cabin in the woods or a high-end ocean bungalow, the right setting sets the tone for the entire vacation.” Learn more about how Cottage Connection can help make your vacation perfect!
