Great little cottage

Left on Dec 03, 2009 for a stay in June 2009

Just a few lines to say that we stayed here in June, were very lucky to have the best weather of the year and thought the cottage was great. A good local pub, excellent fish & chips on the doorstep and a real character cottage! There's no sea view though, times have changed in Greenodd! this didn't bother us at all but if you really do need a sea view then look elsewhere. Otherwise, I can't fault…

A holiday property should be well located, should be comfortable and well appointed and should have owners who really take a pride in making sure you feel at home. Sadly, people often find only one or two of these three elements. Not so in Pendleton Cottage. Patti and Steve are outstanding hosts; they own a superb property and the house is perfectly situated in a quiet spot, with amazing views, …

Excellent, considerate hosting and excellent facilities

Left on Jul 20, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

The title entry says it all. There were 11 of us staying and we used the house easily with five noisy boys accommodated in one sound-proofed lounge whilst the adults enjoyed peace and quiet either in the other lounge or in the large dining area. Shops are not too far away in Grange and access to the countryside is very easy and the routes to the heart of the Lakes easy too.
We thoroughly enjoyed …

Dunlins, Grange over Sands

Left on Dec 23, 2009 for a stay in October 2009

We found Dunlins very comfortable and the view from lounge was stunning. On our first night we found a deer in the garden. Great walks and we loved Carmel, the home of sticky toffee puddings they were great too. Restaurants in Grange over Sands were good and we found that cooking wasn`t necessary as the carry out foods were good too. We would return again, maybe earlier in the year next time.

Fallen in Love with this Cottage

Left on Jan 09, 2012 for a stay in November 2011

A group of 8 of us (four couples) stayed here for my birthday in November, and I personally fell in love at first sight.

A lovely cottage, spacious enough for us not to be under each others feet, but smallm enough to still feel cosy. When 6 left on the Sunday night, it left my partner and I to have the house to ourselves and we struggled to leave!

The oweners have put a lot of thought into the …
