300' lakefront, 50+ acres, Sat TV, Family Friendly
A secluded 4 bedroom cottage with over 300 feet of lakefront.
300' shoreline, Sat TV, Dishwasher, Canoe,
This cottage has privacy. We currently have 2 cottages, sharing about 57 acres of property and 900+ feet of shoreline. The second, White Pine Vista Cottage, is over 300 feet away and we left a buffer of trees and brush in between the cottages to act as a privacy buffer.
The cottage is located 66ft from the high water mark (as close as legally allowed for the area). There are horse shoe pits, a sand box and about a quarter acre of lawn at the cottage. There is a dock, with a buoy offshore for tying up a boat (the cottage comes with a canoe for getting out to the buoy and back). Lots of people, of all ages, have enjoyed swimming out front of the cottage over the years.
The cottage works well for multiple families or large families and this cottage can be booked with the one we have next door (about a 400 feet to the East, the closest neighbouring cottage to the east).
COTTAGE LAYOUT (there is a video walkthrough on our own website just do an Internet search for discovervr eagle view. It should be the first listing.)

At the far end of the kitchen is the stackable, full size, washer, and dryer along with the pantry shelving. Turning to the right is a small hall off of which is the main floor bathroom which is between the main floor master bedroom and the bunk bed room.

Back out on the far side of the kitchen is the dinning room with chairs for 7 people (additional table with 6 chairs out on deck).
Immediately beside the dining room in the same open space is the family room. It has a 26" TV, Satellite Package which includes movie and sports channels. There is an XBox 360 system. Large sectional couch, coffee table. There is a gas fireplace to the right of the large patio doors that look out over the lake. Behind the couch is a storage area with books, DVDs. The Modem/Router for the WiFi connection or hardwired connection is located in this room. There is also a phone here.
In the far corner are stairs leading up to the 2nd floor.

This bedroom has a double size bed, and a futon that folds in to a double size bed. It has a night table, a lamp, closet and computer desk (no computer but it works well if you have someone who needs to do some work).
Back down stairs at the far side of the family room is are the double patio doors to the fairly large deck. There is a weber BBQ and patio table and 6 chairs. Stairs led down to the cedar shoreline. Note: The shoreline is about 15" above lake level. There is a video on our personal site of the shoreline.
THe cottage is a fantastic place to spend time in every season. Summer is what you would expect from a typical Ontario cottage. Generally nice weather and the lake is a great place to hang out.
Fall/Autumn you will experience the fall colours. This usually happens around the last week of September to early October. The bird migration and Salmon spawning are great nature activities to witness.
Winter, you can cross country ski, snowmobile, ice fish. I'm always amazed at all of the animal tracks that show up shortly after a fresh snowfall.
Spring brings the bird migration back. Great to witness in early spring around mid-April as the edges of the lake thaw as that is where large populations of water fowl hang out during the migration. Rainbow trout spawn in the spring and that is a spectacle to see them jumping up streams....Read more

Manitoulin Island Cottage Rental Availability:
Saturday to Saturday rentals during High Season (see above schedule for High Season dates, generally mid June to long weekend in Sept):

Pets: Please ask. White Pine Vista – pets are allowed in the main family room area, kitchen, hallway, laundry area and possibly the master bedroom. We would ask that pets still not go in any room that has carpeting. If you are allergic to certain animals and are concerned about allergies we may no longer have a cottage for you. We will continue to buy non-allergenic materials for bedding, and building materials when we can. We charge $60.00 extra/pet/week. This is due to the fact that there is more likely to be scratches, wear and tear and higher cleaning fees with pets. We also ask that the pets stay off of the furniture/beds. We also reserve the right to charge for any damage done by a pet.
Of course we hope you don’t have to change your vacation plans. However, please take note of the following in case changes are unavoidable.
Once booked there are no refunds. Once you reserve we block off these dates for you and no one else is able to book.
We HIGHLY recommend that you purchase some type of vacation insurance, which includes accommodation costs. Then if you must cancel your trip the insurance may (usually for major medical problems, and other critical situations) cover the cancellation costs. MyTripInsurance is an example of a possible trip insurance plan; however, you would need to verify with the insurance company if this type of plan would meet your needs
Additional fees may apply:
- Pet Charge | 60 CAD per week | $60/pet/week or less

We've been coming to this cottage for several years now. We love the area. The lake is beautiful. The cottage is clean and well stocked with almost everything you need. Our daughter loves the fireplace on those cold mornings. If you are looking for a quiet retreat on the water, you've found a winner!

Dear Laurie and Larry,
Yes, we thoroughly enjoyed Eagle View (sorry, no Eagle sightings/photos to share).
John and Rolanda were excellent hosts, John gave us a very good introductory tour.
We will certainly post a good review on the Tripadvisor site. Not being facebook
members, and not keen about its security aspects, we'll pass on posting a "like"
All the little extras and thoughtful considerations for us as guests were very
appreciated and made us feel very much "at home" during our short visit.
