“Wonderful location, delightful house - and - pet-friendly, too!” Rick's Retreat is very clean, very comfortably furnished "home away from home" vacation rental - and pet friendly, too! Lots of restaurants and some fun shops are a short walk south and beach access is a short meander down a charming lane. Rick graciously shared restaurant and general "things to do in Captiva" thoughts, all of which were excellent. This was our first visit - we'll definitely return (hopefully very soon!).

“Best New Years Ever!” We started out the new year in your home and what a great start it was. We have never had the priviledge of being so close to the beach for a vacation! We felt so safe and private. We have 7 littles and the two youngest would even run around naked sometimes. In the chaos of the season on this island, we felt like we were the only ones here when we stayed at your home, you provided everything we needed and the your gardener was very friendly. We saw dolphins daily if not multiple times a day! A special treat . . . dolphin pups with their mothers frequently visited. The beach was virtually private. The owners were very accomidating to our special circumstances. Thank you for that.

“Most amazing vacation on Captiva Island!” We had a great time on Captiva Island. We have stayed there several times, but this time we chose to stay at this private home on the bay. My husband and I were relaxed and the kids had plenty of room to run and explore. The house was amazing - beautiful views, lots of room, great pool and very private but close to everything we could possibly need.

“Sunset Dreams - Tropical Paradise” What a wonderful place! We just returned and we miss it very much already. As my wife puts it, "it was like being in another world!" She's become an overnight ornithologist and marine biologist. The owners went well above the standard of what a normal property rental would be. From furnishings, to decor, to kitchen utensils, and appliances; they blow every rental property we've ever seen right out of the water. The home is immaculate. And the island itself has endless things to do. We've already booked for next year!

“Nice home away from home” Great place to rest and relax. Easy access to getting around, pool was great, plenty of things to take to the beach available. Used the grill, stove and oven to cook and all worked well. Much of the directions were in German, so we had to dig out the owners manual to figure out how to run everything. I would definitely stay here again.

“Florida Breeze Villa” We really enjoyed our month in your beautiful home. The house is a spacious 3-bedroom 2 bath well decorated comfortable home. We enjoyed the pool and entertaining friends in the enclosed pool area. The Cape Coral neighborhood is extremely convenient to area restaurants, our church of choice in the area, grocery store, access to Ft Myers, Sarasota, Naples, Venice and all our favorite places. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the weather in the area and we are hoping to get down your way again in the not-too-distant future. “Estero Sands was PERFECT!!” Estero Sands was a great place for our family! We've stayed in Ft. Myers many times and this stay was one of the best. The owners that were on site were very nice. The grounds were very well kept. Literally steps to the beach!!! Loved it!!

“I love this place!” Fantastic vacation home! Great lagoon view from the pool! Close to Sanibel Island as well as shopping for gifts and groceries. Very close to the river by boat, big plus for me! Had a great time here and hope to stay over and over.

“Everything great about the beach with no crowds” My family loved this experience and will be back! The kids got a kick out of taking the golf cart around and looking for turtles. The house is great and has everything you could possibly need.
