“Cozy, comfortable beach Thanksgiving!” We had not done a vacation rental before but wanted a comfortable place at Ventura near the beach where our college-age daughter and friends could join us for Thanksgiving. This cottage was wonderful -- provided everything we needed for the week, including fully equipped kitchen in which we cooked Thanksgiving dinner. The cottage is cozy and compact but very attractive and well fitted out. The bedroom/family room downstairs was perfect for our visiting college girls, with their own bath and TV. The balcony off the living area provides a charming view of the beach 6 doors down the lane and sunsets -- great place for morning coffee. There's a good grocery store, a number of shops, and restaurants in easy walking distance. We found Ventura to be an ideal mix of beach, mountains and farmland, with plenty of "big city" amenities but a friendly, small town feel. We wanted easy access from la and lax, and a launching place for exploring the Central Coast and Ventura was perfect. Pierpont Beach is marvelous, wide and clean. Great town! Our landlady Jane was easy to work with on setting up the arrangements and met us at the cottage upon arrival. She provided great orientation for the cottage and nearby things to do. We loved it and hope we can return!

“Santa Barbara 4 month Getaway” My family and I stayed in Secret Garden Hideaway for four months and we loved it. Wendy, the landlady, was always available and helpful. It is close to everything downtown: shopping, dining, exploring; as well as close to the beach. We loved our experience here. We also had visitors (special permission from owner) for the holidays and one thing we really appreciated was that all bedrooms were very secluded from the main living space. All of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms and even with a full house we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. We would definitely recommend planning your stay here!

“Lovely peaceful spot” This house has been newly renovated with comfortable furniture and great appliances. The street is peaceful and private. It is a great place to come back to after a day of sightseeing...there is even a hot tub to soak in and look at the stars. The only drawback to the location is that it really isn't within walking distance of the town and we had to take the car everywhere. Even if you could walk, the surrounding roads were too busy and had no sidewalks. But if you are looking for a lovely place to enjoy nature and get away from the hubbub, this is it!

“Quiet, private, comfortable with all the amenities” We spent a week in Santa Barbara at 'the Craftsman Cottage'. It was a fantastic, private retreat to return to after a day at the beach or a day of wine tasting. Everything was thought out from the luxurious linens, comfortable beds, washer and dryer, charcoal grill and charcoal, to a fully stocked kitchen. It turned out to be quite warm while we were there so an additional fan would have been helpful. I would recommend this property to any one staying in the Santa Barbara area.

“A great house for a family vacation!” We had a lovely week in this house during our recent family reunion. The home is large enough that everyone has privacy, and most of the decor and features are updated. However, it is casual enough for families with small children to feel comfortable. The best part of this house is definitely the outdoor pool area - beautiful fruit trees, a huge deck area, and a fabulous pool. The location is lovely, a short drive to town but removed in the hills. Walking distance to a great park, the Natural History Museum, and the Santa Barbara Mission. The secret perk that makes it feel luxurious is the white towels - there are tons of them in each bathroom!

“Fabulous cottage heart of downtown SB” Love, Love, Love! Perfect place to stay in Santa Barbara! Walking distance to everything downtown, super cute, wonderful decor inside and out. I highly recommend staying at Caza de Coco! Mimi is the best, I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay!
