“Stunning apartment and perfect host.” Extremely clean and beautifully appointed flat was perfectly situated to see the sights and visit the markets of Florence. The kitchen has every amenity and all appliances are new and top of the line. No need to scrub the pots before you cook here. The supermarket on the street and the market just around the corner provided us with the fresh ingredients for the best meals. There is even a toaster and a drip coffee maker if you prefer a non-Italian breakfast. Good restaurants and coffee shops in the area. The map and directions provided by our host got us on the right track quickly to see the sights. The neighbourhood is safe for an evening walk for a gelati or espresso. The bed was extremely comfortable with extra linens and towels provided. The heat in the flat was adjustable so that the rooms were always the right temperature. The best flat we have ever stayed in when on vacation.

“Great Apt” This apartment was almost perfect. I'll get it out of the way and say the shower was very tight, i'm 5'6" 156lb and it felt cramped. But I dont there is anything that can be done about this so its just something you live with. The apt itself was spacious, it has a washer, close to city center, comfortable and included a bottle of water and coca cola. We only slept in one of the rooms and felt it satisfied all needs. The apt stayed cool and we never had to run the a/c just the fan at night. This is a very cute apt. We also didnt use the bikes, but thought about it and decided to walk since we were mainly shopping and taking tours during our time in Florence. The location is just outside the main center on a quiet street. It takes maybe 4-6min to walk to Duomo area, 25min to walk to train station. I would not recommend walking to train if you have luggage, the sidewalks and roads makes it a long 25min. Gianluca was very pleasant. He met us at the apt and gave us some contact info for tour guides. We didnt have any issues so we never had to call him for assistance.

Villa Le Terrazze in Florence, views, pool, no car needed

Florence villa

  • 6 bathrooms

“It was the perfect place for us. Clean, roomy, easy to get to F” The Villa is beautiful! Lorenzo was a great host and he helped arrange transportation from the airport. We had taken a late train from Rome and got to the villa felt in the evening feeling very tired. Lorenzo was great the villa was awesome and we felt at home immediately. There were eight of us and there was plenty of room to spread out. Pros Beautiful Villa Very Clean Incredible View Wonderful Gardens Plenty of Room Full Kitchen with utensils Easy to Get to Florence (bus stop within walking distance) Cafe and small market within walking distance Lorenzo was great Cons Cannot think of any The location of the villa was perfect for our group. It is out of the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to get into the city quickly. It only takes about 15 minutes to get to Florence by bus (which was easy to use, clean, and never too crowded.) By our bus stop there are a small market and cafe. So we could get espresso while waiting for our bus. One night we decided to eat in and the kitchen was equipped with all the utensils to make a full dinner. The Villa just added to the magic we were having on our trip and we would highly recommend it.

“Really excellent” We stayed one week in this very nice apartment and enjoyed it really. The kitchen was fully equipped with a washing machine, coffee makers, microwave fridge I enjoyed cooking and living independently. So reasonably priced and quiet at night we slept soundly. Comfortable bed made our stay so enjoyable. The location is perfect for visiting all the sights in Florence. We will definitely stay there again in our next trip to Florence!

“Great location, clean, safe and great price.” We loved our experience at affresco. I was a little leary of renting apartments as this was my first experience but Enrica was warm and genuine and we had a great time at her place. The apartment was very clean and modern and the perfect size for my wife and I. If and when we return to Florence we will definitely stay there again.

“Beautiful apartment in a beautiful city” We stayed for 4 nights and loved it! The apartment is modern, bright, and spacious. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is great, just across the river from the main city center. Easy walk to the train station and most places in Florence, and a safe location. Wonderful restaurants on this side of the river, and less touristy. Leila greeted us when we arrived and was wonderful, helping us with restaurant recommendations and a thorough walk through of the apartment. On check out, she helped us get a cab and even waited with us until it arrived. Wouldn't hesitate to stay in this wonderful apartment again!

“Best Place I’ve Stayed in Florence” I’ve been coming to Italy for several decades now; sometimes for business, a lot for pleasure. This trip was extended due to teaching responsibilities in Florence. I was here over 5 weeks, so I needed a place close enough to work, but not too close - away from the tourists, but close enough if I wanted to go. The Oltrarno district is ideal for this. It has all the things you might want in Florence proper - the sights, restaurants, shops and artisians, but it’s more authentic. You’re actually rubbing elbows with the rest of the denizens of Florence. It’s kind of a working class neighborhood. About the apartment - it was great! Roomy, as authentic Florentine as you will find - terrazzo brick everywhere, a real old carved stone sink, but it had all the appliances you’d want, plus the fastest wifi I’ve had on any of my trips here. It’s an old, thick building, so you rarely hear your neighbors. It is safe and secure and near the shops, stores, banks and markets you need for day-to-day living. The owners bent over backwards to ensure my stay was what I expected. When I asked for a coffee pot, no questions asked. The washing machine, stove, microwave, fridge, et al is all top-notch stuff. One more thing: A lot of the time, you’ll see pictures on these sites and they’ll look ok, and then you’re disappointed when you actually get there. On the other hand, a lot of these sites post less-than-stellar pics and you later found out that the place you passed over was really great. Well, the owners here nailed it - the pics are plentiful, truthful and authentic - it was exactly what I had expected when I got here. Like I said - the best place I’ve stayed in Firenze…ever.

About Florence

Florence, the capital of Tuscany in Italy, is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Whether you are visiting one of the over 80 museums in the city, strolling through the gardens, or checking out the old city walls, Florence is breathtaking in every sense of the word. While you are here, be sure to spend some time in the centro storico, the old town area, and the shopping district centered in Via Roma.

Here are a few additional suggestions of things to do in Florence:

-Galleria degli Uffizi: This is one of the most famous fine art museums in the world.

-The Duomo: This cathedral has become a symbol of the city and offers beautiful views from its dome.

-Boboli Gardens: These gardens make up Florence's most famous park area.

-Palazzo Vecchio: You will find an endless array of street performers showing off their skills in front of this historic landmark.

-Piazza della Signoria: This is Florence's most famous square.

-Ponte Vecchio: Built in 1345, this is the only bridge that has survived from the medieval days of Florence.

The best time to visit Florence is in the spring, when the weather is still pleasant but the high tourist season is still a few months off. Many of the most popular festivals in Florence also take place during this time including the Feast of San Giuseppe in March, the Exhibition of Crafts in April, and The Maggio Musicale in May.

Staying in a vacation rental in one the main areas of the city is usually the preferred option for those visiting Florence. In addition to a luxury apartment rental, it's also possible to rent a villa in the countryside. If you want to get out of the city, Florence can serve as a starting point for exploring the rest of the Tuscany areas. Nearby towns that are accessible by public transport include Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo, and the wine region of Chianti.

Wonderful Spacious Apartment

Amazing apartment, lots of room, interesting old building, good location near shops, grocery store, restaurants (don't miss All' Antico Vinaio right up the street for the best Florence sandwiches). Easy walk to Santa Croce church, Uffizi gallery, Duomo, etc. Washer/dryer especially useful. They even provide snacks! We couldn't have asked for anything better.see more

Quite Neighborhood

Lovely apartment in a quiet neighborhood and within 15 minutes walk to all attractions in central Florence. Also, close to grocery, market, and restaurants. The apartment has a full kitchen, a bedroom with a queen bed, plenty of seating, a spacious living room with a full sofa bed. The only reason that this isn't getting 5 stars from us is because we needed the sofa bed for our teenager. It was beyond uncomfortable. The mattress was so thin and worn that you could feel every bit of the framework and bars. It was not usable. He ended up just sleeping on the sofa... But, if this is not important for your stay, then it is the perfect place to base your exploration of Florence. Lastly, it would be nice to have a shelf for your toiletries.see more

We had the most wonderful time!

We stayed for over 2 weeks (end of June & early July) and were very pleased with the flat, especially the large terrace. It was our outdoor room and we loved it. I would definitely recommend to friends, but only those fit enough to climb the stairs. The location was ideal for our needs, and there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and markets nearby. All the historic and art-related venues are within easy walking distance. We hope to stay again.see more

So glad we found this place

You're just a few weeks away from your holiday and you find out the place you had planned to stay will still have the builders in! For us this turned out to be good news because we took some more time to find a place in Florence and we were delighted with the one we chose. We arrived, a little delayed and at the same time as the heatwave, so it was great to get into the apartment to a friendly welcome from Elisabetta. Everything we needed was explained and was close at hand, really helpful for first time visitors to Italy. We enjoyed a wonderful week-long stay, coped with the temperatures and the city's busy-ness (I know we were adding to it!), drank in the culture and the views of this incredible city, and ate at some fantastic restaurants just a short walk from the apartment. Having such a lovely well-equipped delightful place to return to each evening meant it was worry-free and we could really relax.see more

Best Location Ever!

Going to Florence? This is the most wonderful apartment, best location and most gracious owner you will ever find. We were able to walk everywhere because of its perfect location near the Duomo. The apartment was spacious and comfortable for 4 adults. Eleonora oriented us to both the apartment and surrounding areas, which was extremely helpful. We had a wonderful 2 week stay and would definitely return!see more

Dream flat for a dream vacation

The flat is located in a perfect location just a block away from the Arno and there are many restaurants close by. We loved walking the Oltarno area and not feeling crowded as the city center. Duomo and train station are less than 15 minutes walking - we never had to use bus or taxi. The apartment is perfect - the best bed and pillows we have had during our 1 month honeymoon trip, and the shower pressure was great and the water was easy to get to the right point (we've had problems with either super hot water or cold water on the other places we stayed). It lacks a washing machine but there is a laundry store just two buildings to the right. The only downside - it's on the 4th floor and no elevator, so travel lightly! Prepare to have a great stay in Firenze!see more
