The property was in new condition and as described. Everything you could possibly need was at your fingertips. I shared the unit with a friend and he stated it was like renting a new house. We each had our own bedroom and full bathroom. The owner was easy to contact with any questions during our stay. The location is just a short drive from Homer and the Spit. Remember to eat a Fat Olives in Old Historic Homer and Lands End, Chart House down on the Spilt. Also, walk the Marina and docks, everyone was very friendly. This property has already been recommended by me to a couple from Florida that travel to Alaska frequently.
"Wow. View from this place can not do the actual view justice."

We had a great time in Homer and loved the cottage. It was a very relaxing time and we had time to enjoy the hot tub and bocce ball on the lawn. What great hosts they are and that includes Winston. I would love to come back on my next trip to Alaska. It is fairly priced and worth every penny of it. Definitely the best part of our vacation to Alaska. Next time I may have to bring my wife and daughter. Loved every minute of it.
This home was an awesome place for a family get together. The owners provided board games, internet and a TV in the living room with cable and DVDs to watch. It was in a private secluded spot.
There was another smaller place over the garage that could be rented also, depending on the size of your group.
The downside was the drive into town and not much close by for groceries or restaurants. Also the view of the Kachemak Bay was a bit obstructed by trees. The nature of our trip was to take our guests fishing with our own boat in the bay, so the house was great for our guests and the sleeping and socializing, but not the best for getting the boat in and out after fishing.
