“Very good location” Very nice owners who live next door. An excellent free house 2 minutes walk away the Butchers arms is a must if you like real ale. the old dairy is well located for the attractions of Canterbury and Whitstable. we enjoyed our stay.

Great Couples Getaway

I booked the Stables as a surprise for my partner's Birthday. In the lead up to our trip anne, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful via email so I had high expectations which were met and even surpassed upon arrival. The property was absolutely beautiful, in a very good condition and very clean (the photos do not do it justice). It was the perfect amount of space for 2 for a short break with a lovely comfy bed, cosy living room and good sized kitchen and bathroom. Doors opened out on to the garden and there was a table and chair outside where we had breakfast most mornings. Anne had prepared a hamper for our arrival which included the essentials; tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, cakes and even a bottle of wine and card for my partner's Birthday which was a lovely touch. The cottage is well placed for exploring Kent by car or bus (bus stop at the top of the driveway), particularly Sandwich and Canterbury which are close by. There is also a very informative binder with leaflets and ideas for things to do in the local area although, we found just chatting with anne and Rob gave us plenty of inspiration! We would definitely book this cottage again. … see more
