Vancouver house

“Impeccable accommodations” We came to Vancouver for a family visit and could not have been luckier to stay at Haddon House. It was beautifully appointed, well stocked and centrally located to our needs. Our hosts, Johannes & Marie-Louise were delightful and most helpful. The proximity to Deer Lake was a bonus for lovely walks and biking. All in all, a top notch experience.

MYRTLE SUITE - MOUNTAIN VIEW; CENTRAL, LOVELY AREA

Vancouver house

“Superb Suite, Lovely Location” We had a fantastic stay in the Myrtle Suite while escaping our condo reno project! The Suite was the perfect home-away-from-home for us. It is cozy, new, spacious, clean, quiet, well stocked and equipped with all the essentials! I am particularly envious of the full kitchen; we wish our kitchen was this nice. And, the roomy bathroom (oh, great shower!), comfy bed, and the handy in-suite washer/dryer were much appreciated during our stay which felt more like a mini-vacation. So glad we didn't choose a hotel room! One of the highlights of our stay was the neighbourhood - great for walks and the views of the North Shore Mountains are the bonus. But, the nearby East Village is really special. It's the best kept secret for a local experience. There are lots of hip eateries (Tacofino, Campagnolo and Red Wagon) and culinary artisan shops like Moccia (eg Fig Tuscan sausages), Schokolade (handmade chocolates), and the Black Rook bake house...yum. We've lived in Vancouver for years and only discovered this off-the-beaten-track hood while staying at the Suite...crazy but true. So, if you're visiting Vancouver and want a real local experience with superb and good value accommodation, then we highly recommend the Myrtle Suite. The other highlight was the hospitable owner, Toni. She was so accommodating and we felt very welcomed in her home. Toni, thank you so much for the fresh tomatoes from your cute garden, a sample of your delicious Naughty Crow granola, and for the wine - all lovely personal touches that made our stay more memorable! You have a beautiful home and we wish we could have stayed longer; but we'll definitely direct our visiting friends and relatives to the Myrtle Suite!

“Superb condo at an excellent Vancouver location” The Woodwards condo was a really excellent base from which to explore Vancouver. Situated in the heart of historic Gastown, the condo was within easy reach of many bars, restaurants and shops, as well as being walking distance from the downtown shopping district and a 5 minute walk from Waterfront Skytrain station. It was very easy to travel to all the main sites without needing a car. The condo was furnished to a very high standard, and contained all the amenities to make a luxurious home from home. The kitchen and bathroom were ultra-stylish and the views from the condo were truly stunning. It was a genuine pleasure to come home to the condo after a day's sightseeing.

About Vancouver

Pristine wilderness and cosmopolitan pleasures are united in the beautiful coastal city of Vancouver. A gateway to the Canadian Rockies, Vancouver has some of the best winter sports opportunities in the world. If you like to downhill ski or snowboard, the famous mountain at Whistler is one of the world's most popular winter destinations, as well as one of the city's top attractions.

If you've already made your winter plans, Vancouver is also a wonderful place to visit in the summer. A coastal city, Vancouver is just a stone's throw from beautiful sand beaches along Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. The unspoiled coastline is an ideal place for an eco-adventure, especially by kayak. Alternately, you could plan a day hike in the neighboring mountains to swim in one of the many clear mountain lakes.

The third largest city in Canada, Vancouver offers urban excitement in addition to beautiful wilderness and outdoor sports. There is a growing art scene, with many fine art galleries in Vancouver's downtown district, as well as in the surrounding communities of Victoria and Wells. Vancouver is also a food-lover's paradise. Here, you can feast on wonderfully fresh seafood every day of the week. Accompany your meal with a local beer or hearty glass of red wine produced by the local breweries and wineries of Southern British Columbia. On the weekends, be sure to check out one of Vancouver's charming farmer's markets, where you can pick up local products like honey, jams, local cheese, and fresh produce.

Here are some of the best things to do in Vancouver:

  • Vancouver Art Gallery: One of the largest museums in Canada, this gallery's permanent collection includes work by Chagall, as well as important regional artists, like Emily Carr.
  • Stanley Park: A unique 100-acre park bordered by the seawall promenade, this public space is a scenic place to stroll, bike, or rollerblade alongside locals.
  • Whistler: Whistler Mountain was the site of the 2010 Winter Olympics. For skiers and snowboarders, it is one of the best winter resorts in North America.
  • Museum of Anthropology: This fascinating museum contains art and artifacts from Vancouver's native cultures, including impressive carved totem poles.
  • Gulf Islands: Located just between Vancouver and the mainland, this small island chain is a wonderful place to go sailing, fishing, and hiking.
  • Public Market: Enjoy the range of delicious delicacies at this local food market, located in a former industrial space on Granville Island.

If you are planning to visit Vancouver, consider a vacation rental on Kitsilano Point, where you will be near the beach, as well as the attractions in downtown Vancouver. Snagging a rental by Little Fort Langley will put you right in the middle of Vancouver's most historic districts while a ski cabin in Yaletown is ideal for those looking to hit the slopes. For the whole family, a villa near Whistler will guarantee a good time, any season of the year.

The Alpha Downtown by COMFYSUITES
Conveniently located apartment in downtown Vancouver

The location of the apartment is great, right in the middle of downtown and literally across the street from the Law Courts designed by architect Arthur Erickson and landscape designer Cornelia Oberlander - a must-see modernist masterpiece (go to the roof!) Within walking distance to many sightseeing objectives in Vancouver. The windows face the side of the street (back alley) so looking down from the (otherwise nice) balcony is not the prettiest sight - looking up, one can see part of Granville street, one of the busiest streets with nice vibrant neon lights at night and according noise (particularly during the weekend, Friday night!) Bring ear plugs if you want to sleep undisturbed. The queen-size bed is very comfortable and the extendable sofa in the living is fine too. The kitchen and bathroom are clean and had all needed supplies; they are a bit outdated though (dishwasher is old and funny to use, towels were dark brown) - in my opinion, this aspect doesn't justify the $500 deposit. The host Alicia Chia was very nice, helpful and accommodating, especially on our last day when we were allowed to check out later since we had our flight in the evening. Much appreciated! Overall, a very good experience and I'm recommending this place for a stay in Vancouver.see more

Amazing owners and fantastic accommodations !!

Stayed in this beautiful condo overlooking breathtaking views of False Creek and Downtown Vancouver skyline. First off let me say what an absolute pleasure it was to deal with Sandy (the owner) . She greeted me with a big smile and had excellent people skills . I felt welcome from the begining , and Sandy really put me at ease. The condo is decked out with high end appliances and has tons of room. A very safe and secure location bustled in Olympic Village, every ammentidy was within a short walk. I was I'll for most of my stay and Sandy checked up on me everyday to make sure I was okay and had everything that I needed. I highly recommend staying here and i can't wait for another opportunity to do so!! Cheers, Ryansee more
MYRTLE SUITE - MOUNTAIN VIEW; CENTRAL, LOVELY AREA
A lovely suite in a good location.

Myrtle suite is a lovely place to stay. You can see the mountains of North Vancouver across the Burrard inlet from the lounge window which is breathtaking on a clear day. A short walk away there is a lovely children's park. You can easily get a bus to central Vancouver from a nearby stop and there are good food shops about 15 minutes walk away on East Hastings street. The suite is comfortable and homely with a wonderfully comfortable bed, high quality shower, spacious kitchen with dishwasher and both washing machine and dryer. Toni and her family are very helpful, friendly and welcoming which helps to make your stay in Vancouver an unforgettable experience.see more
Vancouver’s best, unique Coach House in Kitsilano
Stylish, Kid-Friendly Apartment in Fun Neighborhood

I recently traveled to Vancouver with my husband and 18-month old son. The Coach House was such a wonderful home base, located within walking distance of some great food and shopping in Kitsilano. The highlights: - We really appreciated how kid-friendly the Coach House and neighborhood was. The toy basket, pack and play, access to your sandbox and highchair were such thoughtful touches. Such and environment makes all the difference when traveling with a toddler! -We loved the clean design of the Coach House. Great job on striking a balance between utility and style. - The accommodations were private, quiet and convenient. -The location can't be beat. We were able to walk to a different park or beach with our son everyday. There are also numerous markets within a few blocks if you want to make use of the Coach House's well-appointed kitchen. Also, Kitsilano is a short drive or bus ride to other great city attractions such as Granville Island, The University of BC Museum of Anthropology and downtown. If we're ever in Vancouver again, we'll be back!see more
Buttercup Guest House
Unbelievable Guest House

If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay in Vancouver, this is the place for you. James and Paula, the owners, have built a beautiful guest house at the back of their property in the Mount Pleasant area of Vancouver. They have thought of every amenity you could possible want to make your stay enjoyable including fresh fruit , milk and muffins when you arrive. The house is well located in a nice neighborhood between Main Street and Cambie Street making access to downtown, the airport or other parts of BC very easy. Great restaurants, shops and bars in the area all within walking distance from the house. We highly recommend this property and hope to return someday in the not too distant future.see more
Heart of Tempe
Just what we needed!

My mom and I were visiting the Vancouver area and we're glad to find this gem! It was great to be out of the hustle and bustle of downtown but only 15 minute drive to go visit when we wanted. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. There was a parking space always available two houses away. The suite was very spacious and the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. It was great to have a washer and dryer and the suite was very clean and modern. Our host, Fariba and her family, were very welcoming and had great communication. Overall, it was a great value and it made for a very enjoyable vacation-thanks!see more
