Loved the cabin and location. Woke up to beautiful sunrises every morning. Only had 2 issues with the accommodations. First there was no visible house number to make it easy to find. There should have been a placard roadside or number on the side of the house. Second, the shower in the master bathroom had hardly any water pressure. Not sure what the problem was. Had great water pressure everywhere else in the house. No major issues had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Cabin was located close to Dollywood and within 3 miles of all of our favorite restaurants ( the Applewood Farmhouse restaurant, Old Mill restaurant, Cheddars, Sawyer's Farmhouse restaurant, and Mellow Mushroom). Did not have time to use the Hot Tub or the jacuzzi or watch any movies on the TV. The only thing I would change if the cabin belonged to me is to put a larger TV above the fireplace (40-50 inch TV) the 32 inch is too small and located to high on the fireplace.
Myself and my wife recently stayed at Eagle Haven and we were defiantly impressed. The cabin itself was very nice it had all the creature comforts of home. All three levels were well laid out and functional. The best thing about the cabin was the views hands down was the view, you cannot beat the view! Being from Florida we don't see to many mountains and to be able to sit out on the porch or in the hot tub and look out to the mountains was awesome. The only thing I can say that maybe needed some improvement was the hot water system for the house. It just wasn't very hot. Especially on the nights it was cold out. Overall we throughally enjoyed ourselves and this is a great property.
"Beautiful cabin, amazing view and we didn't want to leave."
Left on 11/01/2016 for a stay in October 2016
Being our first vacation in this area and not knowing what to expect in the way of cabin rentals and it's location to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge (and the fact that I probably looked at over 100 photos of different cabins before choosing this one) we were beyond thrilled with our choice! The cabin was very clean and welcoming and the decor was beautiful, but the view...well, it was spectacular! It was an easy drive to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The thing we liked about this particular cabin was it was at the end of the lane and even though the cabins are all very close together, this one only had a cabin close on one side and it was wooded on the other so it seems more secluded. If I had to complain about anything it would be that the lower level needs a privacy curtain on the window as you can look right onto the neighboring cabins porch and hot tub and they could watch you playing pool or walking around the lower level which is also where the bedroom is. They should also have a privacy partition on the porch for the hot tub as well, but we just took the cover and set it up and used it as a privacy screen. There was a nice big jetted tub in the bathroom but having the hot tub I couldn't see waists g water to fill the bathtub. The shower door wasn't secured and the bedding/blankets could used to be cleaned but overall...it was a beautiful cabin and we would stay there again.
1.) The drive was excellent. We made this trip in a Honda Accord with little to no experience navigating hilly terrains. We actually did take a wrong turn, in the rain, down an unpaved mud and gravel road- where we were stuck for about 15 minutes. At that time we called the cabin owner and he stayed on the phone with us until he was sure that we got out. He also called his friend who was a local in the area, who was willing to drive out and guide us to our cabin if we couldn't find it. Once we were redirected the drive was a breeze- and a beautiful one at that. The owner actually called us back twice just to make sure we were okay and was very adamant about us reaching out if we needed anything else. The people who own this place are incredibly helpful!
2.) the cabin looked EXACTLY like it does in the pictures. Everything was so clean and the views were absolutely gorgeous. We were surprised, too, by how well the kitchen was stocked. There was not a single pot, pan or utensil missing. We cooked every single day. We also felt incredibly safe on our trip. We went as three young women and did have some safety concerns that paired with being in a more secluded cabin area. Those concerns were abolished immediately, both because of the excellent location of the neighborhood and also because of how secure the actual cabin was. We definitely recommend this for a family or girls trip!
3.) the cabin also came stocked with plenty of excursion booklets! We had some things on our itenerary before arriving that we definitely knew we wanted to do, but for the days that had blank space, those booklets came to the rescue. Deer farm horse back riding was probably our favorite thing that we did- the girls there were so kind and the horses were in great shape. The prices were awesome too!
4.) the hot tub worked, was SO clean, and was well maintained. It was probably our favorite perk of the cabin aside from the kitchen.
We will definitely be back!!!
