“a beautiful and serene vacation home” This lovely and comfortable house, set in a gorgeous, convenient location is the perfect place from which to enjoy the many splendors of Santa Fe. Susan, the gracious owner, has created a magical oasis complete with art, colorful gardens, and fresh, delicious goodies to eat. Since she knows all the ins and outs of Santa Fe, one does not need any guide books to get around to the most interesting spots. However, there is a full set of literature and current calendar of events in the house for a complete view of what is going on. All in all, this is the perfect place from which to enjoy a glorious vacation.

“Wonderful comfort with outstanding view” My wife and I spent a great week in Santa Fe using this delightful casita as our home base. About 10minutes from good grocery shopping and not much farther from the Plaza and excellent restaurants, this apartment offers a great way to live in and see the area. There is a very serviceable kitchen for light cooking on the occasions when you don't want to go out. A gas fireplace cheered up the living room during a surprise snow storm. The view of the Jemez Mountains can be breath-taking. Furnishings and appointments are all very comfortable. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

“Beautiful, relaxing, close to town....just perfect!” My girlfriend and I stayed at Jason and Angela's house and it was truly a perfect experience. The house is complete with 2 bedrooms, three beds, wifi, a full kitchen and living room and dining space, a grill and a super peaceful vibe. They gave us total privacy and the cedar hot tub was a great experience at the end of a day of hiking at Bandelier and provided some awesome stargazing. The house is a quick 15 minutes from downtown Santa Fe and I have to say it was much nicer staying right outside of Santa Fe. The view of the mountains is simply breathtaking.

“Comfortable stay in this cozy Santa Fe condo!” We rented this lovely unit for two and a half weeks. Upon welcoming us, the owner familiarized us with the complex. The condo photos are exactly what to expect. The southwestern decor added to the charm of this older condo. The unit was cozy, comfortable and clean! The views from the living room and balcony are picturesque, as the unit sits high on the side of a ravine with abundant foliage. Without transportation the last half of my stay, I walked everywhere. A few things I found inconvenient. There's limited public transportation. The plaza is downhill and quite a walk back up! The closest grocery isn't a realistic walk as it's two miles away on a busy street. The laundry and pool area are located at the bottom of the ravine. If you have a car, you can drive to them. We don't feel the condo is elderly friendly as you navigate stone paths and stairs to get around the complex. The owner was always available to answer our questions.

“GORGEOUS!” Wow! We rented four different cabins in the NM/AZ area this summer and this gem was by far our favorite! Stunning cabin with everything you could possibly need, yet tucked away in the quiet beauty of the forest. Brian was a fantastic communicator and host! Pictures cannot do this beauty Justice.

“Awesome views!!!” We stayed at this villa for a family Christmas vacation, and the accommodations were very comfortable for our family of six. The location was very convenient to the town (less than 5 min) and Ski Santa Fe was a 20 minute drive away. The villa has all the conveniences (3 bathrooms a plus), 3 fireplaces and best of all georgeous views from all directions. The villa helped make our Santa Fe experience that much better providing us a true Southwestern experience with its decor and adobe style architecture. Very comfortable for all our family members and children who are now teens and young adults.

“Dancing Sun is beautiful and comfortable” There were 3 women in our group and we did enjoy our stay at the Dancing Sun. The house is beautifully decorated. We enjoyed utilizing the fully equipped kitchen. The house is located very close to the plaza you can walk easily to downtown!). It has very nice and private outside areas. We enjoyed having coffee and wine on both the patio and the balcony. Do wish the fountain had been operational. The upstairs master suite was really nice. Would stay there again.

“Essence of Santa Fe” We have been fortunate to stay at the house on Camino Escondido many times. It is comfortable and the perfect size. Everything you need to enjoy the time you have in Santa Fe. The beds are great, the little reading room is cozy and the courtyard is so relaxing and beautiful. We love all the aspen trees. The house has been well taken care of and attention has been paid to historic architectural details. The greatest thing is that you are a block from Canyon Road. A pleasant, quiet stroll in itself that opens up on a visitors dream! The hardest decision you have to make is whether to turn right or left. Any way you go are galleries, restaurants or unique shops. Utterly charming! Easy walk to the Plaza and downtown area too. We really can recommend highly this wonderful house. It has soul.

“A Getaway For Those adventurous, Expressive Souls!” I came to Suitable Digs for the 20th time or so...this time, with my fairly new boyfriend. We were still in the early stages of getting to know each other and basking in such beautiful and lively surroundings, that I learned some new things about him (one can't help but express themselves openly while visiting Suitable Digs). The interest and the pleasure he took in retro, vintage style items was new to me--and only enhanced by our getting to stay in the unique classic, the Spartan. We were already excited by the incredible vegetable and fruit gardens growing in this desert Eden, alongside the various and fascinating water catchment, solar and other energy-conserving systems. So much to see and take in! But hen we stepped into the Spartan for the first time, wow...he came alive in a new and different way than I had seen before. His eyes gleamed with wonder, like a little boy on the first eve of Chanukah. The trailer was adorned in time period style, authentic in its original form with all the little extras that Lisa had taken the time and painstaking effort to locate and attach, no distance too far or too wide, no fixture unaccounted for. My beau settled in on the couch to read, out loud, several pages of Red Sky at Morning, a 1968 novel by Richard Bradford that takes place in New Mexico. He laughed and reminisced all over again, as he had when he first read it years ago. That evening, we sat in chairs on the patio outside the Spartan, gazing at the bright moonlit sky and feeling dreamy about where we had landed together. I recall the moonlight as it shone into the Spartan and landed on soft pillows, just as the warm morning sunlight welcomed itself into our cozy abode to gently awaken us the next day. Being at Suitable Digs for the 21st time was just as familiar as ever...and at the same time, it was as unexpected and fresh as traveling to a completely unfamiliar exotic destination for the first time. The innovative air that always exists there, remains.

“What a great house!” This was an absolutely beautiful, perfect house for our 5-day visit. It is spacious (for 4) and stocked with everything you will need and more. It is a short walk to the Plaza (10-15 minutes), but far enough that you can enjoy peace and quiet in the evenings. One down side: if you are a star gazer, there is a courtyard with a few other units and all units (including ours) have lights that stay on at night. Nonetheless, we highly recommend this house and location.

“A Santa Fe Gem” We have been coming to Santa Fe for over 20 years and have rented places all over the north and east ends of the city. This one is a wonderful home. It is moments from the centre of fhings and yet it feels like a secluded hide-away.Not only are the desert view and gorgeous sunsets a plus but the outdoor sitting areas give you a reason to enjoy them. Indoors there is good space and the decor is southwest but elegantly done. The gated community provides privacy and security.Adobe helped us with several problems and we were more than happy with our holiday.
