Burnhope Lodge, A stunning weekend!!

We booked Burnhope lodge for my Brothers 40th birthday celebration, we are a family of 12 adults and 6 children aging from 7-16. We travelled from Manchester which took just over 2 hours, the country roads are steep and hilly so driving with caution is a must!! Amazing House

Left on Nov 01, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We have just returned from a 4 day break in Unthank Hall. 2 couples, 3 children and 2 dogs. The house is steeped in history and has been beautifully and lovingly restored by the owners. We had a fantastic stay, and the history surrounding the hall only added extra excitement to our Halloween celebrations. The village of Stanhope is a lovely place, with good pubs, good food and friendly people…

Lovely cottage, marvellous location, will be back

The cottage is just what I was after. Close to Northumberland, the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and Durham it had everything I needed for my stay. Lovely market town (Stanhope) nearby for supplies and very quiet even though on an a road. plenty of walks from the house too for when I didn't want to use the car.
