Simply Steamboat coordinated a wonderful stay at the Emerald Lodge. Our unit was well-appointed, immaculately clean, very quiet, and a very short walk to the gondola. Simply Steamboat was attentive and organized from my first interaction with them throughout our entire stay. They helped us book discounted lift tickets and ski rentals in advance. They also provided a delightful checkin - meeting us onsite, helping us with our luggage, and having water waiting for us in the unit. Our only slight complaint was that the lighting in the master bedroom was too dim. Otherwise, a wonderful unit and fabulous management company.

Traveling with 3 teenage girls is always an iffy proposition. However the vote was unanimous, The Emerald Lodge in Steamboat Springs was a winner all the way around. There was plenty of room for everyone, and little luxuries in every bedroom. It was conveniently located to everything. You can walk right outside and begin a lovely hike and be near the gondolas and action central in less than 15 minutes.

We stayed in the Emerald Lodge and, as requested, had a Wii and games
ready for action! The condo was beautiful and spacious for our family of 4.
We used 2 of the 3 bedrooms (3rd was a lock-out) and the den had a day
bed which my sister used while on a mini visit from Vail. When I phoned
Paul wondering where my sister could park her car in front of the building,
he looked in his reservation book and suggested she use a space in the
garage since it would be empty that week. So thoughtful!
Unit was fully stocked -including laundry detergent. They'll stock with
groceries if you'd like, as well.
The unit was a 7 minute walk to the gondola or the shuttle picked up right
in front. Ski lockers near elevator are convenient and we had great
afternoon sun on the deck - perfect for apres skiing relaxation! There is a
hot tub and heated pool outside which we enjoyed as well.
Next time we return to Steamboat, we will for sure contact Paul and Louise
at Simply Steamboat! They are there to help make your vacation wonderful
and stress free and that they did!

We really enjoyed our stay at Emerald Lodge. Nice finishes and such but....the heating system for this unit is terrible. We did not turn the heat on the entire stay and had to have the windows open. Not wise for an environmentally aware resort. The other issues are with sound transfer between floors. You hear every movement from above. These issues may be isolated to this particular unit. Otherwise the skiing and services were top rated.
Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback which we value very highly.
In response to the 2 points that you raised:
Condo Heat - during Spring the pros and cons of a south westerly facing condo come in to play. Our guests get to enjoy lovely sunny afternoons on the deck but if the shades aren't closed the condo can heat up. We do try and educate our visitors about how to effectively keep the condos cool by simply turning the heat off and closing blinds and windows during the day. Guests report that this simple routine does a great deal to keeping the ambient temperature of the condos down.
In summer the condos have air conditioning.
Noise - unfortunately as with all condo developments if the guests above are heavy footed (and potentially enjoy wearing ski boots indoors!) there is little that can be done to stop the transfer of noise. This is however not an issue that is reported regularly and is very much guest (above) dependent.
We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the finishes, services and skiing.

this is our 2nd time staying with simply steamboat. we were pleased with the personal service, and attention we received from the moment we stepped off the shuttle. the apartment is perfect size and has all the amenities for a comfortable snow riding vacation. the furniture is comfortable and the space in the conducive to family communication. the on-call shuttle service is excellent, we did not have a car, and did not need one. we are ready to book a duplicate trip again, next year!! Simply Steamboat is a great way to plan your next Steamboat trip.

We had a great time in Steamboat. The condo was just as advertised, perfect for the four of us.
Condo was well-appointed, great kitchen, comfortable beds and in excellent condition. With 16 year old boys with us, the large screen TV was perfect, as was the Playstation 3 console we reserved.
The shuttle service was easy, prompt and always available to us.
It was a great trade-off for us to forgo an older ski in/ski out unit for a new condo within a five minute walk of the Gondola.

The condo was perfect for our group of 7. The kids enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools as well as the XBox every evening after a day of skiing. The shuttle service made it easy to get to the slopes and anywhere else we needed to go. The service was always prompt and never crowded. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next year.

My family of four plus my parents stayed at the Emerald Lodge via Simply Steamboat in February 2010, and it was one of the best vacations we've ever had!
The level of service we received was excellent -- before, during and after the vacation. It began with personal help over the phone reviewing properties, choosing a condo and booking the trip. The superior service continued prior to our arrival, with Simply Steamboat handling absolutely everything for us to ensure a smooth and simple arrival, including picking up our lift tickets and putting them in the condo, stocking the condo with groceries, booking our ground transfers and emailing us plenty of information in advance so we knew exactly where to go and what to do to get there. Upon arrival, the Simply Steamboat staff met us at check-in and helped us get settled and learn the lay of the land. They were readily available throughout our stay as a virtual concierge service to offer advice and help us with any issues. They are friendly, personable, professional and extremely helpful. The level of service rivaled a cruise ship! It was terrific.
The Emerald Lodge was absolutely beautiful and our condo was beyond our expectations. Perfectly clean, brand new, stylish and comfortable. Simply Steamboat had thought to stock it with everything you may need, plus some, from humidifiers in every room to board games. I was ready to move in immediately, but, alas, someone else had booked it the week following us and we had to go home!
The location was close to the hill and the shuttle service ran constantly, so we never had to wait. It was not a problem at all. We came home for lunch each day, then went back out to ski without incident. The on-call shuttle service was fabulous! It was like having your own personal chaffeur all week! This was really one of the best parts of the vacation and saved us from having to rent a car, park and find our way around town.

Had a great time in Steamboat. The 3 bedroom plus den we rented was very well appointed. Lots of room to stretch out and what a great kitchen. We could not have asked for more in a spring break ski vacation. The people at simply steamboat did a terrific job.
Condo location is very close to the ski hill, just a 5 minute walk or talk one of the frequent shuttles. overall a terrific value.

Louise & Paul,
I just want to say our vacation exceeded our expectations for Christmas. The condo was absolutely fantastic, it had everything we could have asked for, so homely yet top of the range everything. It was great to spend time with the family in the evenings around the fireplace and relaxing watching movies and playing games that were in the home. The Wii was a hit with the boys for sure!! The location was great and the shuttle service was superb. The children had a great time skiing ( and rented the skis from the company Paul recommended and they were absolutely great!!) Loved seeing the snow for Christmas it really made it.
The only downside was that it wasnt long enough :)
Many thanks for all that you did for us (especially locating our bag WE left at the airport and getting it to us so quickly). We truly appreciated it, We will definately recommend you to anyone that is looking to go Skiing in Steamboat.
Once again Thank you to all who made our trip such a memorable Christmas vacation.
