Why stay in a hotel when you can stay at the Rockies Condominiums? The Rockies, at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area, has a reputation in Steamboat Springs not only as a familiar landmark for family vacations, but as the best lodging value in all the Yampa Valley. Featuring studio loft, one bedroom, two bedroom, and two bedroom plus loft condominiums, the Rockies offers a unit configuration to suit your needs. You can't beat the value of the Rockies located near the base of the Steamboat Ski area across the street from the Steamboat Grand Hotel. Our studio rates are comparable to hotels that are located further away from the slopes, but you have the luxury of a living room, balcony and kitchen. We have the complimentary SST City Bus stop at the property. The Steamboat Springs Transit loops around the Rockies and makes various stops at the Mountain area on its route back to the Gondola Transit Center. A Mountain Resorts shuttle is also on call in mid-day (11am-2pm) and again during evening hours (6pm-10:30pm) for trips downtown or to the grocery store (shuttle service is only available during winter months). International Travelers love the self-catering apartments with fully equipped kitchens plus all the linens and towels that make them feel right at home without being in a cramped hotel room. The Rockies Condominiums are within walking distance to Ski Time Square, the indoor year-round Tennis Center and the Strings Music Festival pavilion in the summer.
Best location in the Rockies! Unobstructed views up to the top of the gondola from the living room and bedroom. You can check out the conditions and weather on the slopes as you drink your morning coffee. This One Bedroom condominium features great mountain views and log furniture. There is seating for four at the dining room table. The living area has a 32 inch flat screen TV with a DVD player and a queen size sleeper sofa. The bedroom has a queen size log pole bed. R2105 is a ground floor unit so there is no climbing up and down stairs in heavy ski boots carrying heavy equipment. The bus stop is located just steps away from the unit. You can see for the bus from the living room and leave in plenty of time to catch it. You will not find a more convenient and cozy unit in the Rockies.

Wonderful place to crash at the end of a busy Steamboat day. The bus stop was just a few feet from our building entry. It really made getting around town a snap. We could have ridden the shuttle all night just to hear the woots from the passengers as the Jamaican driver entertained us. Definitely coming back!

The people at Mountain resorts were extremely friendly and helpful. The condo was a normal mid-priced ski condo with nice furniture and and good beds and appliances. We had to catch a bus to the slopes, but the stop was about 50 meters from our condo. They also had a shuttle service to take you to a restaurant for dinner and then you called them to pick you up (between the hours of 6-9 PM). This was very convenient and they responded within about 5 minutes. They also had 2 very nice hot tubs and a heated pool which were in the center of the complex. It would have been nicer to be able to walk to the slopes, but for the price I felt like this was a great deal.
