Why stay in a hotel when you can stay at the Rockies Condominiums? The Rockies, at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area, has a reputation in Steamboat Springs not only as a familiar landmark for family vacations, but as the best lodging value in all the Yampa Valley. Featuring studio loft, one bedroom, two bedroom, and two bedroom plus loft condominiums, the Rockies offers a unit configuration to suit your needs. You can't beat the value of the Rockies located near the base of the Steamboat Ski area across the street from the Steamboat Grand Hotel. Our studio rates are comparable to hotels that are located further away from the slopes, but you have the luxury of a living room, balcony and kitchen. We have the complimentary SST City Bus stop at the property. The Steamboat Springs Transit loops around the Rockies and makes various stops at the Mountain area on its route back to the Gondola Transit Center. A Mountain Resorts shuttle is also on call in mid-day (11am-2pm) and again during evening hours (6pm-10:30pm) for trips downtown or to the grocery store (shuttle service is only available during winter months). International Travelers love the self-catering apartments with fully equipped kitchens plus all the linens and towels that make them feel right at home without being in a cramped hotel room. The Rockies Condominiums are within walking distance to Ski Time Square, the indoor year-round Tennis Center and the Strings Music Festival pavilion in the summer.
This Large Two Bedroom condominium has valley views. There is seating for six at the dining room table. The living area has a 36 inch flat screen TV with a DVD player, a queen size sleeper sofa and a gas fireplace. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a 19 inch TV. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed.

“I would not stay here again unless it's updated.”

For $200 per night (including taxes, etc.) I would not recommend staying in this unit. The refrigerator is in need of replacement and made noises all night long! The dishwasher was also horribly noisy and the kitchen needs updated! The living room was nice and the layout is spacious but if you want to rent this unit to repeated customers I would recommend updating the entire kitchen.

Very dark with old furnishings. Although fans were provided it was very hot in the condo as it was west facing. Master bed was very old and concave in the center. Water in shower went from hot to cold throughout length of shower. We own at Copper Springs Lodge at Copper Mountain and would never rent a property in this shape.

The hot-tub was close to our unit, so was nice after skiing. We had understand The Rockies had recently been remodeled, but not all have. So double check before you book. Our friend stayed in a remodeled unit and was nicer, with a master suite/bath, which ours did not have. We were close to the mountain for skiing. City bus stop was close by so convenient to not drive into town and back.
