“Ski in and out but you have to hike stairs depending what floor”

The unit we stayed in had a nice view and in general fulfilled our needs but was in need of some serious updating. Some new paint , carpet and some furniture should be replaced. We had several visit of maintenance personnel to fix drawers falling apart, light bulbs not working and shower doors coming of the track. Bath room did not have an efficient fan. We where on the 5th floor with the elevator only going to 4th floor which meant we had to hike with ski boots and skis up and down 4 flights of stairs. Not convenient. On top of the that the elevator button for the 4th floor did not work until we complaint about so for some days we had to negotiate 5 flights of stairs. The booking information did not make this apparent! Overall the whole condo complex is need of severe updating. We would not stay there again if we come back.

We enjoyed being in a slope side apartment. We were able to ski down the hill to the lifts and when we finished skiing for the day we could either take a shuttle or ski back home. The shared hot tub was also a nice asset. The facilities were in working order but some of the appliances could have been updated. We had only one problem with a leaky shower but that was fixed in a day.

We go to Steamboat often and this is the first time we rented something by the slopes. It is so much more convenient, allowing family members to ski or relax as they see fit. This is definitely worth the price.
As for the condo it was a clean and cozy efficiency with all of the amenities. Service was good and the front desk was responsive when we had issues with towels and with the fire place. Overall I would rent here again.
