Why stay in a hotel when you can stay at the Rockies Condominiums? The Rockies, at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area, has a reputation in Steamboat Springs not only as a familiar landmark for family vacations, but as the best lodging value in all the Yampa Valley. Featuring studio loft, one bedroom, two bedroom, and two bedroom plus loft condominiums, the Rockies offers a unit configuration to suit your needs. You can't beat the value of the Rockies located near the base of the Steamboat Ski area across the street from the Steamboat Grand Hotel. Our studio rates are comparable to hotels that are located further away from the slopes, but you have the luxury of a living room, balcony and kitchen. We have the complimentary SST City Bus stop at the property. The Steamboat Springs Transit loops around the Rockies and makes various stops at the Mountain area on its route back to the Gondola Transit Center. A Mountain Resorts shuttle is also on call in mid-day (11am-2pm) and again during evening hours (6pm-10:30pm) for trips downtown or to the grocery store (shuttle service is only available during winter months). International Travelers love the self-catering apartments with fully equipped kitchens plus all the linens and towels that make them feel right at home without being in a cramped hotel room. The Rockies Condominiums are within walking distance to Ski Time Square, the indoor year-round Tennis Center and the Strings Music Festival pavilion in the summer.
This Two Bedroom condominium has a valley view. The well equipped kitchen features granite counter tops, new cabinetry and stainless steel appliances including a flat cook top stove. There is seating at a table for two as well as three bar stools at the kitchen counter. The living area has a 42 inch flat screen TV with a DVD player, a gas fireplace and a queen size sleeper sofa. Both bedrooms each have a queen size bed and a 19 inch flat screen TV. Both bathrooms have been nicely updated with granite vanities.

We Enjoyed our stay in July for the Triple Crown 13 year old baseball world series. The condo was comfortable and furnished with all the things we needed for our stay. But being a skier I would love to come back when the real action is on in the winter

The location was great - walk to the lifts. The condo was convenient but could use some updating and a few more amenities. The mattresses felt pretty worn out, our shower was cold, and no hair dryers. They gave us plenty of towels and were very accommodating letting us have a late check out. Our crew enjoyed the hot tub.

Stayed in this condo for MusicFest Jan 5-10. When we checked in we were told Condo was ready. It wasn't. Hadn't been cleaned. But the cleaning crew came quickly. Baseboard heaters didn't work in the living area. Took two days to fix. In the meantime, only had gas fireplace for heat in living area. Provided some heat but didn't seem to be working right. Only had two small flames that barely showed. Had some difficulty getting hot water. Condo itself was older but OK. Description said sleeper sofa was in living room. It is actually on 2nd floor in loft area outside of upstairs bedroom. When you open it into a bed you can't get into bedroom. Location was close enough to walk to MusicFest. Unit had a good view and end unit is a plus. Unit is close to hot tub and pool. Unit was the top floor, which is my preference, so you did need to walk a few flights of stairs. Maintenance man (Danny) and front desk folks were nice and did the best they could. Condo complex is on city bus route so it was easy to get to Gondola or to town without driving.
