We stayed in Trappeur's Lodge 1301. The unit was not properly cleaned when we arrived. There was a soiled condom and other used sexual items left in the upstairs loft. The bathtub also had hair left in it. We had to contact the front desk 3 times before someone would actually come in and do our midweek cleaning. Although I left my personal cell phone number for the manager, Peggy, to call me, she obviously did not think a phone call was necessary. The housekeeping staff sent a bottle of wine in apology; we do not drink alcohol. I had recommended Resort Quest to another family who was staying there at the same time. They experienced the same poor service.
The actual unit was fine and well appointed with everything we needed to stay for 6 nights. There is no air conditioning, so summer nights are not comfortable for sleeping. The pool and grounds were very nice. Pool opening at 10am is not convenient for those who might like an early workout swim or hottub soak.
