Additional Location Information

Beech Wood is in an idyllic, peaceful location, off the road in the middle of beautiful countryside....trees, a wild flower meadow, footpaths and wild animals. Close by are shops, pubs and restaurants, a great Golf Club and easy to use public transport. So you can be rural, yet not too far from "civilisation"! Lots of local attractions from Alton Towers to National Trust properties, also great ceramic factories ... Emma Bridgewater, Portmeirion, Moorcroft, Burleigh, Moorland Pottery, Wedgwood and Doulton, Churchill and Dudsons in The Potteries down the road. Leek is the local thriving market town, full of independent shops, galleries and antique shops.
We are right by the beautiful Caldon Canal ....it's great fun to watch boats going through the locks and the towpath is just lovely to walk along as the sun sets over the fields, perfect after supper outside in the west facing garden.
