Our house is located directly in the middle of Stralsund's old town in the Old Market. Its location makes it an ideal base for visiting the many attractions in and around Stralsund like St Mary's Church, the Maritime Museum, the Ozeaneum and the Cultural History Museum. From the tower of St. Mary's Church on the Neuer Markt one can enjoy the panoramic view of the city of Stralsund and the nearby island of Rügen. Stralsund's harbor can be reached on foot in five minutes. In the immediate vicinity there are car park, restaurants, bakeries and shopping opportunities (including multivitamins). Everything is within walking distance--a car is not necessary. Stralsund offers the Spa "Hansedom", a park and pool with large sauna and gym.

By car: From the A20, take exit 24 in the B96 towards Sassnitz. Last exit before the new Rügen Bridge (Old Town / CHF) and continue on the Greifswalder Chaussee (B105) to the left towards the city center. Turn left on the B105 at the Karl-Marx-Straße. After 1.2 km turn at the traffic lights continue straight on the Knieperwall. At the next roundabout take the first exit and then located at Mühlenstraße. Go directly to the cottage
walk from the station (about 20 minutes): Exit the station main building and walk straight through the traffic lights at the Jungfernstieg. At the end of Jungfernstieg (cobbled ends), turn right into Küterdamm towards Old Town / Kuetertor. Go direct to a pedestrian crossing and immediately see the Kuetertor. There you go through it and take the next street (Mühlenstraße ) turn left. After 5 minutes walk is on the corner of Mühlenstraße / Mönchstraße our house right hands as a corner.
By bus: holding station Olof-Palme-Platz- Line 4 - Line 1 - Here you are at the theater and Kniepertor Stralsund. The road is located behind the knee by Kniepertor, follow this to the Old Market / City Hall and turn right onto Mühlenstraße . The house is on the left at the next corner Mühlenstraße / Mönchstraße.

In terms of day trips, Stralsund is the natural starting point for a trip to Ruegen Island. If you have a car, take the Ruegen Bridge, which is the largest bridge in Germany. You can easily reach Wismar and Rostock as well.
