“The house and setting allowed us to relax and get away from the” My wife and I spent a relaxing 3 weeks at the Crest. The setting is beautiful and the house is quite comfortable. We spent our time reading and taking day trips to nearby towns and attractions and our city dogs loved being able to roam around the woods off-lead. We enjoyed seeing the wildlife around the house such as deer and a wild turkey. The cool air and mountain vistas were quite a treat for flatlanders such as us who normally endure the misery of august in south Louisiana.

“Relaxing and Peaceful” We enjoyed our stay. It had a wonderful view and we really enjoyed watching all of the Humming Birds. We came to hike the mountains and there were plenty of trails to hike.

“The perfect trip! Awesome!” Wife and I recently spent our 15th anniversary in "A Mountain Dream"...and, it was a dream, indeed! Cozy, quaint, a true "cabin feel"...beautiful views and plenty of privacy. Terri was more than wonderful to work with...she was patient and understanding with all my questions...she made the entire process extremely easy. We plan on returning this fall! Thank you, Terri! “So much more than expected!” My wife and I found this place about 1.5 years ago and wanted to come and stay for our anniversary, but it was booked. We knew that we'd love to make it out the next year and so we did. What an amazing experience! My wife and I are drawn to the mountains and we weren't disappointed. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the house is a gorgeous addition to it. The pictures of the property do not do it justice. We brought our 3 year old with us and she loved it just as much as we did; especially the wood stove. Four days was definitely not enough to enjoy the house, the view and the surrounding areas. We fell in love with house and actually ended up spending half of our days lounging around inside, and staring out the huge window in the living/dining room area. Inside the home were notes that helped with the operation of some things. Switches were labeled and instructions for the wood stove were also very helpful. It was very clean and welcoming as well. It was the perfect size for our three person family and we all felt completely at home during our stay. We are looking forward to our next stay here and hope that it is soon and longer than our first. My wife and I very highly recommend Hawks View.

“Unbelievable location and did so many things at this unique cabi” Easy to check in and out. The outside and inside look even better in person. The way it was designed & decorated was so creative with all the small touches around the cabin. Very clean throuhout the cabin and on the outside. The location was perfect. Anything you could ever want to do: Golfing, hiking, fishing, skiing, tubing, canoeing, and site seeing. At the community center you can even play volleyball, basketball and other activities. They have 24 hour security in this gating community with partrol cars. I loved the fire pit in the backyard of the cabin and it has the biggest loft I have ever seen. You could walk out the cabin and start hiking on the trails. River in the back and a huge lake steps away. I'm so glad that we decided on this cabin for our vacation. Thank you very much to the River Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

“Relaxing and carefree” We had such a wonderful and memorable weekend. Very picturesque and ever so quiet when you're there mid season. There were wineries and breweries within a short driving distance, and the local restaurants are spot on. I would not suggest using GPS, it gets you in the vicinity but not to the right house. Thank goodness for pictures of the house. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful, but bring your own trash bags and sandwich bags etc. The master bath and bed is very nice. We loved the bed so much that we are buying a mattress exactly like it because we slept so well. My only other suggestion would be to have the house ready for arrival. The house was cold, and the entry way was not swept, I picked up a few pieces of trash laying around on the driveway, but I am a Manager of a very nice Boutique Hotel so I notice these small things. All in all it was so lovely and I would definitely stay again.

“Wish I could live here!!!” My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend with our five year old son. We have stayed in numerous cabins throughout the Boone area and this one is by far, the best one yet! The cabin has all of the amentities of a home, just bring your clothes and some food and you're all set! The cabin is very comfy, tastefully decorated and in a perfect location. We were far enough away from Boone to truly relax yet there is a grocery store five minutes away. We grilled out each evening on the wonderful wrap around deck. The sunset view from the deck and hot tub are absolutely amazing! I wish I could experience this every evening! My son fell in love with the hot tub, we could not get him out of there!! We truly appreciate the little things about this cabin. There were fun games, Netflix access (which was great for our son!!), etc. My husband was impressed with the surprise beer he found waiting for us and I enjoyed the complimentary wine :) This is truly a home away from home. I was very sad to leave and we will definitely be back, hopefully very soon :)

“Home away from home” I own my own business, so any time away is especially precious. Kilkelly's West Wing Cottage was the perfect fit. Unlike the institutional feel of a hotel room, the West Wing is like a home away from home. Immediately, we felt comfortable and relaxed. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well kept. The rooms were equipped with every possible item anyone would need, even a tea kettle and grill accessories for the gas grill. The commercial like ice maker was an unexpected surprise. They even provided a small cooler for day trips. Normally in a hotel room, I am loathe to touch anything and notice the dirt and traces of previous guests. Immediately you can see how clean and welcoming the West Wing is - I had no hesitation using any of the amenities. We are very picky travelers and the West Wing exceeded our expectations. The breakfast casserole was so good I even got the recipe! There are several televisions with satellite, DVD, Blue-Ray, etc - available but we never even turned them on. It was so relaxing enjoying the sunrise, sunset and mountain views, we had no need for the outside world. We would not hesitate to come back and highly recommend the West Wing! :)
