"Perfect single family cabin, very clean and quiet!"

Perfect cabin for a couple or a small family. The place was very clean and well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

"Great Cabin"

Left on 01/30/2017 for a stay in January 2017
I would definitely stay at this cabin again- very cozy- & comfortable- had plenty of room for my family of 4 + 1- kitchen had everything we needed - the refrigerator was a little too cold- would like a few more towels- but all in all we felt right at home- and had wonderful stay-

"Cute cabin in nice location"

Left on 11/28/2016 for a stay in November 2016
This was a nice, pet-friendly option in Sugarloaf. The cabin actually looks nicer in person than in the photos, which was a pleasant surprise. It is nestled in the trees and next to an empty lot so it feels pretty private. It was our first time to Sugarloaf and it was a cute little neighborhood in the pine trees, close to a nice restaurant/bar and general store. The small area of the yard that was partitioned off was nice for taking the dogs out. The cabin was pretty clean but not spotless. Some of it was a little dated (kitchen/bathroom), but the kitchen had a good array of cooking utensils and appliances. (Though note that the oven and microwave are not full-sized.) We enjoyed the view from the patio and the fireplace quite a bit. It was small but fine for two adults; though more would be pretty uncomfortable. Check in and out was easy (even on Thanksgiving day), and the management company was professional. We appreciated that they easily accommodated our request to check in early. The only reason I wouldn't stay here again was the price--they charged us $888 total for three nights here over a holiday weekend, which is steep for a place this small.

"Great stay!!!!"

Loved the cabin!! Warm, welcoming and so much fun!! My family and I had a blast and plan on returning soon!!

About Sugarloaf

In the heart of California's San Bernardino Country, the town of Sugarloaf offers an unforgettable wilderness escape. There are plenty of fun activities here for visitors with a wide variety of interests, but the most popular attraction in the Sugarloaf area is beautiful Big Bear Lake, nestled at the foot of the California mountains. Come here during all four seasons of the year to experience the best of the outdoors. In the summer, find a lakeside vacation rental on the shores of Big Bear and go waterskiing, fishing, or kayaking. In the wintertime, wake up in your snowy villa and head into the mountains with skis to glide down the powdery slopes. During the spring, the mountains bloom with wildflowers and in the fall the changing leaves offer a spectacular fireworks display. The best way to experience the beauty of Sugarloaf is with a stay in a luxury condo. Watch the sun rise over the lake from your own condo balcony and then explore the shopping and art galleries of downtown Sugarloaf before heading into the wilderness.

Here are a few additional suggestions of things to do in the area:

  • Join the annual fun: Come to the area in July to experience PaddleFest, a day of boat races, boat clinics, and vendor expos on the northern shores of Big Bear Lake.
  • Experience Sugarloaf skiing: All winter long, Sugarloaf is a fantastic destination for both cross country and downhill skiing. There are also plenty of great areas for snow tubing and snowboarding.
  • Hike the trails: Lace up your hiking boots or take a mountain bike into the hills around Big Bear Lake, including Sugarloaf Ridge. While you are there, enjoy a picnic lunch on a breathtaking scenic overlook.
  • Go bird watching or wildlife spotting: Sugarloaf is home to dozens of species of rare birds and elusive native wildlife like eagles, ospreys, otters, and black bears.
  • See a show: See an evening performance at Village Theaters, a popular entertainment venue in downtown Sugarloaf, close to the shopping areas and nightlife.
  • Rent a boat: In the summer time, there's no better way to spend the afternoon than drifting in a boat and casting your fishing line on Big Bear Lake.

Spend the day hiking, horseback riding, boating, playing golf, or relaxing in a spa. Retreat back to your cabin on the shores of the lake or high in the mountains. You'll have no trouble finding a vacation rental with all the room you need to store your outdoor gear and all the luxury amenities you need to host dinner for your family and friends. While you're planning your vacation to Sugarloaf, consider extending your trip to include visits to Lake Arrowhead or Healdsburg.
