The house was not perfect. Several of the rooms were outdated, not spotless, and the lower level leaked. The gas grill was broken and the 'lighted path' to the water did not light. But the positives outweighed the negatives and we all had a great time. The great room was....great. Nice high ceilings, lots of windows. The yard was level and large. Dock easily accommodated our two boats and had room for a few canoes/kayaks as well. Kitchen was well stocked, garage had cans to use for gas, etc. We are easy going families and had no issues overlooking the negatives. We would stay there again.

This was my first time to deep creek. I loved it so much, and plan to return again. This house met all of our expectations. It was gorgeous!!! We planned a girls getaway weekend and 8 of us booked this house for a weekend in February. This house was huge!! It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The gas fireplace in the great room kept the house very warm. Because it is lake front, I would love to rent this house in the summer. The only negative thing I could say is that the hot tub seemed a little outdated. Our stay was very comfortable and our weekend was unforgettable!!! I am actually thinking of possibly owning a home in deep creek someday. What a great place!! Thanks long and foster!

The realator's office staff was very friendly. The house was very nice with a beautiful deck to sit and view the lake. It is located off the main tourist area making for a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Everyone really enjoyed the getaway and looking forward to going again soon.

We really liked this house, and would probably stay here again. Beware - there are only two bedrooms on the main floor. The other two bedrooms are upstairs in the newer "loft" area and in the basement, as well as six twin beds in the "kids'" attic bedroom. The basement room was fine, except the en suite bathroom. It had some mold, and the basement itself had a damp smell to it (as some basements do). House is definitely a trip away from town - about a 20 minute drive - nestled deep in the woods. Water smells like sulfur. The lake is beautiful, and the house has a long backyard that backs up to it. Despite the trash can "cages," bears still got into our trash!

We had a very nice week at Deep Creek Lake. The Big Bear Lodge had a wonderful great room and kitchen. The fire pit was also a big hit with our family. We loved the location-right on the lake. It made it very easy to get everyone on and off the boat. The dock was great for fishing as well. Nice place for families.

Very spacious house with plenty of room for large groups or a big family. Property was very nice and being right next to the lake with a dock in a secluded cove was great. Only downside was 20 min drive to McHenry where most of the best restaurants and stores were.

We are from Texas and came to Deep Creek for a family wedding at Wisp. While the house was a good distance from the festivities (we knew this to begin with) it was nice to be out in the peace and quiet. If you want to be where the action is, this is not the place for you. The house was beautiful and very spacious. Sitting out on the deck was a favorite spot for my 85 year old father-in-law. The kids loved the air hockey table and pool table. We roasted marshmallows and hot dogs out at the fire pit by the lake. The only down side was I wish there were at least a few spices to cook with. The kitchen is so nice and we would've loved to cook more but it was too expensive to buy all the things necessary to prepare a nice meal. Not even any coffee filters for the coffee pot. And we had a little mouse visit us during the night on one occasion. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it.
