This rental was close to all our Tahoe activities and the process to rent was very easy. I appreciate the work that has been done to update the inside of the rental especially the new linens in the bedrooms. My guests, small dog and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy cottage. Thank you! This is a great cabin that we will come back to with our very happy Golden Retriever. The hot tub was clean and ready to enjoy! Debbie and Ashley were great to work with - they knew all the best spot to eat, hike and take our dog. We'll be back!We had a great family vacation in this nice cottage. It was our first trip to Lake Tahoe and this location was great! It is close enough to the private beach to walk, but we liked that there was parking too so that we didn't have to carry everything very far. The only down side to the beach is no dogs allowed and we had hoped our golden could swim. The kids enjoyed collecting rocks and beach glass. There are also the cleanest beach bathrooms I have ever seen as well as lots of grills and picnic tables.

It is as advertised. It appears to be a small place that's been there a while, and been added onto and "customized" inside. It's cozy, and comfortable for a short stay. We were there in the summer, so no concerns with heat. The evenings were cool enough to sleep, but there were fans scattered around in case needed. The layout is "unique". Master bedroom and a second one with two beds upstairs, but third bedroom AND the single bathroom down the steep stairs on the first floor - careful at night if you need to use the bathroom! Ceilings in all second floor rooms are sloped due to the roof, so watch your head. Very little closet space. The queen bed in the master has a slight "swoop" in the middle. The dishes in the kitchen were not what we'd call "clean", so we re-washed anything before using it. Finally, note the bathroom is right off the kitchen! That's just... weird.
Linens were clean and extras available.
All in all, it was comfortable for a short stay. We did use the private beach with a nice wooded walk and benches to watch a storm make its way over the lake. Clean, attractive and safe. And the management company was very accommodating to allow us to stay a few hours past the formal checkout time without extra charges. The jacuzzi was welcome, and was clean and pre-heated to 101 degrees F.
The area is nice, with decent food shopping and restaurants, and access to roads, although some construction slowed this a bit here and there. Overall, the cabin is probably "average" for the area and class, albeit a bit pricey for what you get.
Oh, and be very careful not to drop anything you need down the heater grill set in the floor just inside the front door. It's a big one, and it's not obvious that you'd be able to easily fish a set of keys back up from under the heater element!

The location is incredible - right down the street from the private beach club which is nothing short of amazing - beautiful, clean equipped w/ clean bathrooms and bbq's, beach area and dock. Tons of hiking all around. The house itself is adequate and clean for what we needed. We chose this place because it allowed pets... the front yard is picket fenced - the back yard has a nice hot tub which we used nightly, however, that area is not fenced in - a bit disappointed in that.

This was my first trip to Lake Tahoe and we booked 356 PINE HOUSE for one night via the property management agent. When we checked in at 4:00 p.m., the house had not been cleaned up yet. It was a mess. There were used towels, unwashed plates, garbage and leftovers all over the place. The beds were not made. Snow covered all the way in the front yard and we had to make our way in. We called the management at once and they replied our call after 15 minutes, said they were sending someone to do the cleaning at once. About an hour or so, a team of 3 came to do the clean up. They spent less than an hour there for the cleaning,... and we were asked to collect the towels which were still loading in the drying machine when they left. We found the house was still stingy (just wondered if they really change the bed linens). We spent hours waiting for the housekeeping and couldn't go out for a late afternoon walk, and couldn't prepare for the dinner till 7:00 p.m. Also, The lighting and heating were not adequate, especially the living room.
We were very disappointed with this vacation hom. Definitely not worth the money. Read more
We agree - this was a disaster! The housekeeper assigned ended up in the emergency room and we weren't notified!! Once we found out that the house wasn't cleaned we called another crew and had them go over and clean - the sheets/towels were fresh - there are backups in the housekeeping closet and the dirty linens were brought to me. The housekeepers left the housekeeping closet unlocked so the guests could use more towels if they needed to. I think the guests thought they had to use the towels in the dryer -there might have been a bit of a language barrier..... There were lots of extra linens in the closet. We do apologise for the problems - but we couldn't have forseen that the housekeeper would have to go to the ER. We did the best we could.

I liked the location of the house and it suited our needs. The hot tub was a big bonus. There was not enough toilet paper - 2 rolls for the weekend is unacceptable and could have used more towels. The bathroom placement is weird, but otherwise it was a decent place for the price.

Liked the house, looked exactly like the pictures, no deceptions.
Thought the location was pretty good, nice proximity to the lake. Nice area, really low key and convenient.
Kitchen and bathroom was well stocked and had just about everything we needed.
Ashley and Debbie were accomodating and communicative.
Couple of issues with the house though. Definitely has a mouse problem, kitchen drawers were full of mouse droppings, had to wash all the dishtowels and bath towels. Didn't actually see any mice during our stay, but certainly heard them in the walls. Would really encourage housecleaning to sanitize the kitchen better, we emptied out the drawers but didn't use ammonia or anything. Just for your records blender is broken, don't know if you are aware of that.
The living room could really use a coffee table.
One final comment, the bedroom upstairs with two twin beds should really have a door. Doesn't seem right that a bedroom is missing a door, even a curtain would be better than nothing.
Thought the house was really charming, but the unsanitariness of the kitchen really turned me off. Read more
Sorry you encountered some problems!! This home has regularly scheduled pest control (4x a year) - this summer was crazy with activity. The owner had increased the service calls for 2 months - but the little critters were non-stop this past summer. The house had been fully cleaned the day before you arrived - including all the drawers and cupboards. So - again - sorry - but some things are just out of our control.
The owner has thought of placing a coffee table in front of the couch - but then there would be no room in front of the fireplace to cozy up.
The blender has been replaced - thanks for the heads up!

The house is simple and fairly rustic and we enjoyed that. The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable, but fairly small. Having access to the Tahoe Park beach is really great. This is a really nice spot to hang with the family. If you'd like to barbecue there be sure to reserve a table well in advance since they fill up. This is a great spot as a base for mountain biking and hiking with Paige Meadows and Ward Canyon right there. The house is on a fairly busy corner and cars gun it as they head up the hill by the house. This wasn't a problem for us, but might bother some folks. The fenced yard is great for dogs.

We met our goal of finding an affordable place on the west shore walking distance from Sunnyside, but a couple of snags-
1. The hot tub did not work*
2. One of the rock steps was very lose and we felt dangerous**
3. Housekeeping did not pay attention to the details**
*We were credited for this
**I hope it is fixed for the next guest
***Missing batteries, practically no toilet paper - small annoying items
The booking service (prior to arrival) was good, prompt and attention to details were met
The hot tub issue was responded to the same day just an unfortunate outcome
The follow up service (post check out) was just okay - it took a full business week to get a resolution when we felt it should have been addressed sooner

This cabin is on a very busy intersection, so it was quite noisy. The heater was on when we arrived during a heat wave in July and not turned off until the next day, when the owner finally came and turned off the pilot light.
The cabin was pretty well stocked, and has a fenced front yard which was convenient for our dog. But, we probably wouldn't stay here again.

This cottage worked out well for me, my 2 daughters, son-in-law, baby granddaughter and small puppy. It was clean and contained all necessary items to cook and relax. Only downsides were just one bathroom located downstairs and rather steep stairway to 2 upper bedrooms. However I would rent it again for us. Location is very good

The restaurants and drop offs for rafting as well as the Tahoe Gal cruise are about 10 minutes away by car but you could bike it.
The cottage was as described. We were impressed by the amount of towels and kitchen supplies. The hot tub was great. The only complaint was no air conditioning and we were there during a hot week. The upstairs was a little warm. We would recommend this charming cottage.
After doing a little investigating we found that you needed a last minute one night stay. We usually have a two night minimum but we made an exception for you. YOu called requesting extra towels and we let you know that they were under the bathroom sink. Sorry the hot tub wasn't warm enough it was serviced the day you arrived and must have taken longer than normal to heat. Hopefully you will be able to stay and enjoy Tahoe for more than one evening next time.
