We celebrated my eldest son's 4th birthday at the Fraser cabin...what a wonderful, cozy, inviting cabin. The views were breath taking and we were able to enjoy all the surroundings from the little bit of snow, fire pit and the lake. With everything in such close proximity to the cabin we found no need to leave, but local businesses were not too far if we needed anything. No one wanted to leave when our weekend ended, and we already started planning our next trip up to this cabin.

This is a cute property, in decent condition overall, but could use a good cleaning. Kitchen was well stocked (dishes/tools, appliances, even some spices), but the oven did not work. Outdoor amenities included gas grill, heaters, fire pit, and of course beach!
Unfortunately, there was construction next door (new home build), so it got loud early in the mornings (crews started work before 7:00am - including excavators, bulldozers, and other heavy power equipment). That was a bummer. The property owners did not disclose this prior to making a reservation, and I was notified of the situation by prop mgt only 3 days before arriving. Fortunately, Cynthia with agate Bay Realty did a great job handling negotiations for a reduced rate due to the inconvenience.
Thank you for your review. Yes neither the owner nor Agate Bay Realty knew about the neighbors construction until 3 days prior to your stay until we checked on the house. We try to insure no surprises at our houses including construction or road work but sometimes we are not notified.

This sweet cabin on the lake made for such a great family vacation. The decor is very charming, the beds are comfy and the kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed the amazing patio and firepit and access to the lake! Perfect location between the North and South shore - we would definitely stay here again - thank you Fraser family!

Our vacation was very pleasant. We loved! the access to the beta hand bike path. The house itself was charming and fit 9 people well. The neighbor was friendly and helpful. We paddled boarded right from the beach over to sugar point! Beautiful! I would suggest, if you on cooking, to bring some basics like pepper, salt, garlic and olive oil. Other than that, nothing. You will have a great vacation! I would stay here again.

This was definitely a rustic cabin. Four small bedrooms upstairs with one tiny bath for all. Frying pans and pots need to be replaced and we had no washcloths. The light on the stairway was very dim, and stairwell steep. The view and setting were great, but would not stay there again.
Thank you for the information about the cookware and wash clothes; next time please let us know about any deficiencies during your stay so we can remedy them immediately because we'd like you to be completely satisfied. The stairway bulb is a cfl so it does take a moment to reach full brightness. Please note that there are two full bathrooms at this home, one on each floor.

“Great family cabin right on the lake”

This was one of the best cabins I have rented with my family. The space is perfect; kid-friendly, well stocked, and completely usable. There are beautiful views of the lake from the big back windows. The lot runs down the hill with direct lake access and a wonderful outdoor fire pit for the kids to roast marshmallows. Inside, you feel like you are borrowing a cabin from a good friend - it is completely stocked and the owners share everything with you. It feels much more personable than the usual rental cabin. The beds are very comfortable and everything supplied was top notch. Just a few small details keeping from being a 5 star. many of the light bulbs were burnt out including the stair light which made our nighttime arrival challenging - had to scrounge to get the lighting we needed - and the downstairs DVD doesn't work which makes it difficult to get some adult time from the kids. Check-in/out was hassle free.

We chose The Fraser cabin for a getaway from the city. The kitchen is excellent - if food is a big part of your vacation plans, you would be well served here. The driveway is regularly plowed but watch out for thick ice!

The cabin more than exceeded our expectations. It was private, casual, clean and had everything that we needed. There were plenty of beds, which were very comfortable. And the kids loved all the games, toys and the TV/DVD player in one of the rooms. It was right on the water with beautiful views of the lake. We had a fabulous time and would definitely stay there again!
