The Dome Village is a 5minute boatride from Gili Islands, 20min drive from Senggigi Beach with breathtaking views, a road to our private beach. Set on a hillside land, ideal for weddings,familyevents,receptions,workshops, retreats or yoga gatherings.

Overlooking Mentigi Bay and the Gili islands from the northwest shore of Lombok, this unusual cluster of egg shaped villas is a passion project conceived by a long time expat resident and charter boat tour operator as an extension of the Indonesian adventure and vacation experience.

Rates : Small 2 BD villa is $250 per night (max 4 guests),

Large 2 BD Villa is $350 per night (max 6 guests).

Engaging the interest and talents of German native, architect and painter Wolfgang Widmoser – also an Indonesian transplant – they traveled to the untamed and rugged site in 2011, where Widmoser was immediately and creatively inspired.

An accomplished painter and student of surrealism who studied with Dali, his enthusiastic response and feverish creativity developed into a loose cluster of a dozen individual structures, set high above the private beach at the very best vantage point. Nestled among the lush gardens and native forests, each structure emerged as a “Golden Egg” envisioned by the owners and realized by Widmoser.

Still partially under development and ongoing, the site has two en suite bedroom villas that are now complete and can sleep up to ten guests total. Completely self contained and independent, the beautiful structures feature the smooth fluid lines and curious forms of Widmosers vision and are made entirely of bamboo framework with adobe walls and brick exteriors.

There are several additional domes including a separate fully equipped kitchen and living spaces along with terraced pools all overlooking the ocean. A unique and entirely unconventional experience, this is an exhilarating and adventurous design concept that’s unexpected, chic and naturally beautiful.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES Optional catering and chef services (it’s advised that you bring supplies and groceries with you to self cater as well). Daily housekeeping with optional laundry services. Wifi throughout but it is advised to purchase additional 3G SIM card as all local internet can be slow. Common TV area with lounge. Optional driver and airport transfers. Professional dive center and office on site with speedboat transports, cruises and a fleet of traditional “Phinisi” boats and schooners available for rent.

AROUND The islands of Lombok and Bali are the jewels of the Indonesian archipelago of over 15,000 islands, with sandy beaches, volcanoes, rice terraces and stunning natural beauty. It’s a fifteen minute walk down to the private beach and a twenty minute drive to Sengigi Beach where you can stay and play or launch to the outer Gili Islands and some of the finest exploring, diving and tropical adventure. Less developed, Lombok is considered a hidden gem, with vast stretches of sandy coral beaches, the highest volcano in the Indonesian archipelago and lush, dense rainforests. Just a two hour boat ride or a twenty minute plane ride from Bali, you can enjoy the unspoiled and relatively untrodden island in peace. For now…. (See “Around” guide also)
