Whether you are an artist, photographer, writer, birder, hiker, skier, or a person seeking solace, you will enjoy the rose-colored sunrise, the fiery Western sunsets, and the brilliance of high desert stars from the patio of native plants and stones while relaxing in a bubbling hot tub. This comfortable, perfectly located, exquisitely refurbished 50-year-old Adobe home designed with a blend of colonial-Spanish and contemporary accents sits on the rim of the arroyo that cascades 200 feet to an ancient pastoral valley, the end of which funnels into the national forest road into Taos Ski Valley. Additional Location Information

A rolling mesa at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains awaits you at this sweet Taos Retreat. The area's rugged beauty, majestic mountains, wild Rio Grande river and unique blend of cultures - Spanish, Native American and Anglo - have historically drawn artists and photographers, evidenced by the plentiful galleries, museums and festivals in and around Taos. It is a place to experience the Native American culture where the Tiwa Native Americans have practiced their traditions for centuries. It is a place to hike, ski, fish, or just enjoy the light as it dances across the mountains -- with its early morning pink light that fades to a burnt orange and finally to a deep purple that introduces a blanket of stars to watch from the hot tub in the enclosed courtyard. Finally, the Anglo influence is prevalent in the business district of Taos just a few miles away, with its shops, art galleries and some of the finest restaurants in New Mexico.

Our little slice of heaven is within biking distance (and walking for some – 2.5 miles) to the quaint, artisan village of Arroyo Seco. There's no rat race here; a fair share of non-mainstreamers have made this laid-back, low-key mecca their home. You, too, may not want to leave its tranquility and natural beauty.
