Description
The area is tranquil and remote yet only a short drive from local amenities in Tarbert. The property offers outstanding views of the beautiful, varied Hebridean landscape, where a variety of outdoor activities are readily available. During your stay, it is possible, weather permitting, to take an unforgettable day trip to St. Kilda. Regrettably I can no longer accept pets.

“We’ll equipped, pleasant quiet location”
Anna was a great host. She was very welcoming, explained all about the chalet, and what wildlife was around. It’s an ideal base to explore south Harris with its rugged mountains and fabulous beaches. From the chalet itself we saw Red deer ( in velvet), seals, wading birds in the creek below, and Around the chalet itself there was a Buzzaed, a Stonechat, several very bold Wrens, and many nesting Meadow pipits. The ‘unimproved’ meadow in front of the chalet was happy hunting for the botanist with us who found many grasses and sedges as well as heath spotted orchids. Thanks Anna, a week to remember.

“Choose this place”
The accommodation is extremely comfortable with small but well-designed rooms. Shirley is very sweet and extremely helpful and offers an excellent breakfast (the croissants are particularly yummy). It's very convenient for a stopover for the ferry from Uig to Tarbert on Harris. Highly recommended.

“Clean, comfortable, great conservatory”
The conservatory was a lovely place to sit and look at the view. Well furnished with lots of Harris tweed fabrics. Some day walks from nearby but a good base for day drives too.

“Cosy Cottage”
