“Beauty, peace and serenity!” We had an unforgettable time at Two Dunes! Its a comfortable, very clean house, and Rachel and Will have thought of everything. To say its well appointed is an understatement-its as if you have your own piece of the beautiful island to yourself! We enjoyed snorkelling in front, swimming, and of course long walks on the beach (accompanied by a very sweet beach dog!) It couldn't have been a more relaxing visit, our days filled by enjoying the natural surroundings and all they had to offer. Easy to get to town for groceries, and some nice restaurants too! People are very friendly. We loved fresh fruit and veggies from Island Farms, and had fun at the Fish Fry! Already dreaming of when we can return. Thank you Rachel and Will for this very special place!

“Week in paradise” First time to the island and the vacation was great especially with the accommodations at the Pink Sand Cottage. Perfect for the two of us and loved the views from inside and outside the house of nothing but beach and water. I'm not sure how it is other times of the year but almost every day we were the only ones on the beach. Maybe just timing but it felt as though we were the only ones on the island at times and having the peace and quiet was much needed. Thanks to Ken and adele for a great week and hope to be back soon! “Lovely vacation home!” My husband and I just had the most romantic, secluded, perfectly relaxing vacation while renting the Palmetto Sunrise Villa in Eleuthera this May 2013. The location was great for visiting Governor's Harbor, and a short 10-15 minute drive to several great places to eat (we ate out often at Tippy's and The Beachhouse). The homeowners have been friendly and helpful in every way possible to assist with our planning of activities, from flights into the island to exploring the beaches. We were most impressed with the large notebook made for guests and used the information in it every day. The book has detailed directions for finding one's way to the special beaches of Eleuthera (photos of landmarks along the way included), and up-to-date notes on who to talk to for scheduling tours, and recent details on local restaurants. The Palmetto Sunrise Villa is luxuriously furnished, completely well-equipped and decorated in a lovely manner with many tropical paintings and sea-motif arrangements of shells and sea fan. Everything was top notch and meticulously maintained. It is readily evident that the homeowners care deeply about keeping their villa in top condition and it is heartwarming that they are so open to sharing this beautiful island and its many special attractions with guests who are fortunate enough to choose to rent the Palmetto Sunrise for a vacation. One of our favorite activities was viewing the incredibly starry night skies. We also enjoyed daily walks both on the roads and along the beaches in both directions from the house. The breeze off the atlantic was always cool and refreshing. We walked to the nearest restaurant, at the Unique Resort and enjoyed having drinks there. They have a beautiful beach and great views from the restaurant. The best thing about our stay in Eleuthera was the harmony with nature, warm climate, friendly people, clear water and escape from crowded civilization to a much more leisurely pace.

“Simple, modern, bright, airy & what a view!” Just returned from our honeymoon here -- it was perfect. This cottage is simple and modern, with lots of light, a constant and enjoyable sea breeze and the view from the deck is unbeatable. The beach is gorgeous and rarely has people on it, and a few properties down you'll find a great hotel restaurant and infinity pool w/ hot tub. Also, the location is perfect -- right in the middle of the island, so day trips to various destinations are never too distant (go see lighthouse beach...wow!); it's close to a supermarket, too. The property owners -- Maureen & Alan -- gave us all the privacy we needed but were there whenever we had questions about the cottage and the island. They even provided a handy book they created w/ restaurant/beach advice, maps, etc., which we brought everywhere. It's worth noting that they are very nice, down-to-earth people too (they even had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the fridge). I recommend this spot without hesitation!

“Pleasantly surprised” I didn't expect this house or the bay to be as nice given the price. We liked the view and amenities. The downstairs shower with one way glass looking out on to the bay was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I would say that this house is ideal for a max of 6 adults.
