Description
South Cleeve Bungalow is a large, well presented country bungalow and is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Blackdown Hills on the Devon/Somerset border. It has a large, lawned, secure garden that attracts a variety of bird and wildlife and is perfectly situated for country walks or discovering the surrounding areas of both counties.There are several Historic and National Trust houses and gardens such as: Barrington Court; Montacute House; Killerton; Knightshayes Court; Ford Abbey and many more, all within 1hr's drive.
The village of Churchinford is a mile away, where you can find a shop and pub and the property is twenty minutes from Honiton (Devon), well known for its antiques, and also Taunton (Somerset) which both offer a variety of shops and attractions that suit all ages. The north and south coastlines are also within easy reach, as well as the picturesque landscapes of Dartmoor and Exmoor.
For the kids there is Crealy Adventure Park, Woodlands Country Park, Diggerland, Puxton Park, Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum and many, many more.
Being set in a rural location makes it ideal for people looking to have a peaceful break away and take advantage of country walks in beautiful surroundings. There are plenty of things to do nearby such as golf, fishing, cycle routes and horse riding.
The property has three bedrooms (one king size bed with en-suite), one double bedroom and one twin room. A large kitchen/diner, lounge, bathroom and garden room. Also equipped with every home comfort including WiFi, TV in every bedroom and a new Games room.
Open all year and short breaks also available.
Disabled friendly with wheelchair and ramp available. One well behaved pet welcome.
Sorry no smoking. Prices are based on a maximum of up to 6 people staying. Discounted prices may be available to smaller groups and last minute bookings.

“Simply perfect!”
We enjoyed a 2 week sunny holiday at South Cleeve Bungalow and cannot fault anything! On arrival we received a warm welcome along with a gorgeous lemon drizzle cake! The attention to detail at the bungalow is amazing, fully equipped for a family and doggies! The games room is equipped with everything you could possibly need to keep entertained in all weathers and the garden is perfect, very dog friendly and secure, we have 2 small doggies and even they couldn't find an escape route! Nothing is too much trouble for the owners, Vera and John, a lovely couple who will go above and beyond to ensure a perfect stay. We really hope to return to South Cleeve soon!

“Fantastic”
A real hidden gem of Churchinford. We loved our stay at South Cleeve Bungalow it was amazing so peaceful. On arrival we were a little early but were greeted by the lovely owner Vera who was busy filling the bird feeders in the garden. As we entered we found a lovely cake with a cup of tea waiting for us (milk was in the fridge) we felt very spoiled but it was very appreciated after the drive. The village shop is very well stocked and just a 3 minute drive away or a very nice level stroll that takes about 15 minute, the village pub looked lovely and in the summer would be lovely for an evening walk into the village. We loved to watch the many birds visiting the garden, at night you are even greeted by a Tawny Owl. My dog loved to have a run around each evening till she discovered she could go out of one door and then wait at the other to come back in, this became her regular game, I dont think she has had such luxury before. The bungalow really is a home from home, everything we needed was there and was so comfortable, warm and clean. We would definitely like to visit again and will highly recommend to family and friends

We were welcomed by Vera, who had baked us a cake,the bungalow was lovely plenty of room there was 5 of us staying and we had room if you wanted space, gardens were big teenagers made use of the trampoline and games room, all in all we would love to return at another date.
