We just returned from our first trip to Telluride and I have never before been inclined to write a review. Not only is Telluride an amazing and beautiful mountain for all skill levels, the town and the mountain village are very easily accessed by the free gondolas and shuttle services available.
The unit is a very spacious 4 bed, 4 bath unit on 2 levels. We were a group of 6 adults (2 couples and 2 singles), a 7 mo. old and a nearly 4 yr old but we would have had plenty of room for 4 couples plus our kids. The condo is well outfitted with lots of little extras that many rentals don't give you (i.e. dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent extra paper towels etc).
The Bear Creek Lodge location, amenities and staff are exceptional. The staff are super friendly and the lodge has a free shuttle that will take you anywhere in the mountain village. To start and end our days on the mountain, some of us would take the funicular (a little tram on tracks that will take you directly to and from the slopes-puts you off on the village bypass which takes you to the meadow base area). It's about a 100 yards from the front of the lodge and was very easy to use. To get the kids dropped off/picked up at ski school or the nursery we took the shuttle either to the gondola station or directly into the village. The ski school program and nursery were awesome for our little ones. The lodge has 3 hot tubs, an outdoor heated pool, a workout area and a game room for kids. Complimentary pack-n-plays for babies, movies to borrow, trash pickup and maid service upon request, fresh baked cookies at 8am and 3pm daily, and happy hour for the guests on Thursdays with food and drinks. We did not rent a car and we would not have used it if we had since everything we needed was so close and easily accessible. The staff at the lodge and Paul, the owner, were extremely helpful and we will look to stay here again.

What a wonderful place to stay! Five of us spent three incredible days on the slopes and this condo was the perfect place to stay. It's quiet, clean, well maintained, spacious, well decorated, and stocked with everything you'd need to cook a great meal. I don't think the pictures do it justice, it is a very nice place. We loved that we all had plenty of room to stretch out and that each room had its own thermostat. There were two couples so having two master suites was perfect. The views are incredible and so is Bear Creek Lodge itself. The ski lockers and boot storage room with boot dryers kept wet gear out of the condo and it was great not having to carry it up to the room in clunky boots. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the lobby always had a cozy fire going. The garage situation was interesting - first come first served - but we didn't have a problem finding a spot and then we didn't have to use the car again until we left. Right outside the lodge is a 6 person "people-mover" (like a gondola on rails) that takes you to Village Bypass (less than a 5 minute ride) where you can ski down to lifts 1 and 10. The free shuttle was always quick and easy - we took it to and from the Gondola to get into Telluride for dinner at Siam and Chop House (both are insanely delicious!) and home from a little après ski (Allreds and Tomboy Tavern were two of our favorites) after the lifts closed. The market is right around the corner and down a small hill - super convenient - and the Mountain Village shops and restaurants are very close as well.
We also really appreciated the management company being so flexible. They were more than happy to work with us to make sure we all had a great trip. They were in contact the first day to make sure everything was perfect and were quick to respond when I had a question about the wi-fi.
I would definitely recommend this condo to friends and family and we would love to stay there again!
