While we enjoyed our visit to St. Martin, we were disappointed with the villa due to ants, mosquitos, and the lack of air conditioning in the main living space. We were unable to eat meals in residence due to these conditions, costing us more to vacation than we had originally anticipated. - MICHAEL M., Kentucky, USA

Between my wife and I this was our 5th villa stay on the island. The view was great from the villa and the location, away from the hustle and bustle but easy driving distance, as expected. Overall, however, we were not pleased with the noise level at the villa. The neighboring villa is very close and others are shouting distance. We were disappointed to have to listem to very loud country music for most of the first day and a half of our stay coming from the villa next door. Couple that with the drunken and boisterous language shouted by the neighbors we were tempted to call it off. Fortunately those folks left soon after. However, this area is under development and throughout much of every other day there were the sounds of construction, security alarms and easily overheard phone conversations. And then there were the dogs. There are many dogs in this area, some I\'m convinced are wild/strays. Every day and evening the temporary quiet was interrupted. - William P., Georgia, USA

This two bedroom villa is excellent for one or two couples. The setting is quite magical looking out over Long Bay and the Caribbean. It has all the necessary and expected amenities. The only criticism is that there needs to be air conditioning in the living/dining area for those times when it is necessary to be inside in the early evening with the doors/shutters closed to keep out mosquitoes. - Garry C., Ontario, Canada

1. Make sure that there is mosquito spray and tablets availabe. 2. tighten the security at the entrance to the Villas at Terras Basses. I had friends come for dinner and they were able to drive through security by simply saying that there were visiting me. There should be a telephone call to the Villa occupants requesting confirmation as to the visitor's identity.
