We stayed in the Casita, which is on the same property as Las Brisas, but it is totally private. The Casita is a studio villa. From the moment we arrived at the Casita, we loved everything about it. As you enter the front door you look into the back yard with your own private pool, lush tropical landscaping, two hammocks under a gazebo, lounge chairs, and a dining table. We knew we had found paradise! The Casita was well furnished with a king bed, a small indoor dining table, a couch and two chairs. The bathroom had a single sink, and a fabulous open air shower. Off the bathroom was a large closet and a safe. The Casita is across the street from Mad Dog, where you can get great sandwiches, drinks and ice cream. We ate lunch there many days, and would wander over to have a drink at night with the locals. Additionally there is another restaurant close by called the Top of the Baths. They had a more varied menu, and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was also very good. Even though these two places are close, we did not have an issue with noise. The property is managed by Guavaberry Springs, which is just a few minute walk down the road. At Guavaberry Springs, you can get food, beer, wine, frozen veggies, bread, etc. this was very convenient and the prices were reasonable. Additionally Guavaberry Springs offers a private beach for there guests, with beach chairs and snorkeling gear. We ate one night at the Rock Cafe. We ate outside at tree top level, with a beautiful waterfall around us. The food was fantastic. We did not know was to expect when we rented the Casita, and it was more than we could have ever imagined!

“A Bit of Heaven on Earth”
We have traveled all over the world, but there is one spot we come back to every year and that is Virgin Gorda and the Casita. We have stayed at the Casita five times and have it booked in 2014 again. In my opinion, the only reason people come back time after time is because they like it so much. And that is how it is with us and staying at the Casita. The Casita is a large studio "villa" and is totally private even though it is on the same property as Las Brisas. As you drive up to the Casita you will have your own private parking spot. The Casita is extremely well furnished with a large king size bed, a table and chairs, a couch and chair and a beautifully furnished kitchen with a great blender for making your Pina Coladas. You will also enjoy the outdoor, glass block shower. It does not have air conditioning, but none is really required because the location of the Casita always picks up the most beautiful breeze. We have been there until late may and with the ceiling fans and wonderful breeze it was always very comfortable. The deck in the back of the Casita is also covered and has a ceiling fan and a table with chairs for enjoying an outdoor lunch. This leads to the pool and the beautifully landscaped back. Here, near the pool, are deck chairs, hammocks and a barbecue grill. Another great plus is the Casita is located just a stone throw from the famous Baths of Virgin Gorda and the equally famous Mad Dog where you can enjoy great sandwiches and drinks. The Casita is managed by Guavaberry Spring Bay and we book through them each year at guavaberryspringbay.com. The management team tends to all of your needs immediately. It seems that every year we go back we find that the owners, Barry and Sylvia have added something new within or around the Casita to make your stay more enjoyable each time. If you are looking for a one bedroom place, there is no doubt the Casita is the place --- it is the best.

“Loved The Casita”
Virgin Gorda had been on our list of places to visit for some time. I have to tell you how lucky we felt to have found this property. Managed by Guavaberry Spring Bay Vacation Home Management. From our first email with Tina to our check out, we were treated with kindness. Tina, Michele and Valerie were always available to answer any questions we had. I was looking for a property that was private and had a pool. From the moment we walked into the Casita, we knew we had made the right choice. This property was perfect in so many ways. The gardens, pool, location, the beaches etc etc. So private, yet so close to so many things. We walked everywhere, to the beach, and out to dinner. We did rent a car one day, it was great to see the rest of the island. But at the end of the day, we were happy to just hang out at the Casita, it really is such a special spot. Someday we will return!! Choose this property, you will not be disapointed.

“As good as it gets...!”
We have traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean, and no matter where we are, we long for beauty of Virgin Gorda and the impeccable accommodations offered by Casita. The caring owners, Barry and Sylvia, are "hands on" owners that are continually updating this gorgeous property. The Guavaberry Management team is truly excellent and is always catering to our every need. Casita is separated from the main house(Las Brisas)by lush landscaping that makes it totally private. The location also allows for constant trade winds and beautiful views. We have been visiting Virgin Gorda for well over 20 years and have been staying at Casita for the last 12...and hopefully many more years to come. If you are looking for an "action" Island then this is not the place. However, if fantastic accommodations, pristine beaches, good diving, great snorkeling and Peace and Tranquility suits you, this is...As good as it gets!!!

“Romantic Setting-Great House”
We love Virgin Gorda and have been vacationing there for over 20 years. It's a small island with very friendly people, great scenery, beautiful beaches, good snorkeling, diving and hiking. Casita has been our favorite vacation home on Virgin Gorda since we first discovered it almost a decade ago. It's a studio house with a private pool that offers complete privacy in a romantic setting, located within walking distance of some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Casita is part of a larger property and villa, Las Brisas. Landscaping on this property can only be described as spectacular. Casita is located on the crest of a hill with great views of Whale Bay and is cooled by trade winds. It has three porches, two of which are covered, providing a choice of sun or shade any time of the day. The back deck, pool and hammocks are enclosed in a private garden setting you may never want to leave. We love to cool off in the pool after an afternoon of snorkeling or hiking, or take a swim after dinner. The property is managed by a great staff at Guavaberry Spring Bay Resort. They take pride in making guests feel welcome and are happy to advise on what's happening on the island. They will also take care of your restaurant reservations and transportation confirmations. Guavaberry runs a very convenient honor-based commissary and Wi-Fi service which is available 24 hours a day. There's also a laundry facility, so you can pack light. The resort has shaded beach and picnic areas at Spring Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches on Virgin Gorda and our favorite for snorkeling. The property is meticulously maintained and updated. This year we found the house furnishings, both inside and outside were refurbished and the electronics were new. Another nice feature of this property is the availability of an engine/generator to keep things running if power fails. Casita is a great house, in a great location, on one of the nicest islands in the Caribbean.

We have been vacationing on Virgin Gorda for 30 years, and have now stayed at Las Brisas the last several times. It is by far, our favorite place to rent. Even though it doesn't sit right on the beach (as did our previous rental)it's well worth the short drive to Spring Bay's glorious sands and water. The house is so very livable either for two, four, or entertaining a crowd, with so much seating and a great sense of openness. The delightful breezes not only keep you cool, but also deter what can plague some other areas: mosquitoes on the prowl. We love all the updates which greet us upon our yearly arrival--Barry and Sylvia are always doing something to make their guests' stays even more comfortable. We wish our kitchen at home were as well provisioned and organized as is the newly renovated one at Las Brisas! I won't repeat all of the praises heaped on the singular rarity and beauty of Virgin Gorda--you have to see it and experience it to understand its allure. The Guavaberry staff also adds tremendously to the ease of every minute of our stays---and responds so quickly to any concerns or problems---they're the best! If you're looking for a place where you can absolutely forget the outside world for a few days or weeks Las Brisas on Virgin Gorda is the place for you.

“Heaven on earth describes Las Brisas!!!”
My husband and I have stayed at Las Brisas ten times and have yet to have had a bad experience. Even during Hurricane Irene it was a slice of Heaven. If the weather is hot, Las Brisas is still amazingly cool. The winds keep the temperture perfect!! The problem with Las Brisas is you don't want to go anywhere else. Hanging out by the pool or enjoying the oceon view from the patio. I personally enjoy cooking when vacationing at Las Brisas. The kitchen itself is reason enough to visit. We have had many wonderful meals just eating in and enjoying all the amenities. We enjoy snorkeling and the beach is a short distance from Las Brisas. Normally we drive and its about a one minute drive to the beach. The Baths are a short walk out the front gate. Another wonderful thing about Las Brisas is the privacy the landscapes have provided. Being so close to The Baths and the restaurants across the way and still very private. In the review it asks for what you like least about Las Brisas. My only complaint every time we visit is that we can't stay longer!!! Also I can't express how much we appreciate Tina and her crew at Guavaberry. They are the icing on the cake! Always making sure everything is perfect!!! All I can say is you have to see it in person to really get it. Truly Heaven on Earth!!! Sincerely, Denise Perry, Clovis, Calif.

The Island: Virgin Gorda is a very special place. If you want to enjoy some of the most beautiful, quiet beaches, be greeted by an absolutely wonderful native population, and simply relax and enjoy, then Virgin Gorda may just be paradise. Casita: Casita is a beautiful studio house situated on the property. Although easily accessible from Las Brisas it is separate and because of the exceptional landscaping, totally private. Built in a contemporary Mediterranean style it is open, bright and airy. Featuring a king size bed, a small but workable kitchen, your own private fish shaped swimming pool, porches, BBQ, etc. it is the perfect house for a couple. Las Brisas: Built in the same architectural style, Las Brisas is situated about 150 feet south of Casita. It sits a little higher so has somewhat better views and, oh, the breezes! The complex consists of 2 separate bedroom buildings and a main house which includes the kitchen and living room areas. The kitchen is very well equipped and of a very good size. You have your own pool, hammocks, and beautiful gardens. There is a spiral stairway to a rooftop deck which makes the perfect spot to end the day with a cocktail as you watch the sun go down. In spite of its proximity to the Baths it remains totally private because of the landscaping, which is just extraordinary. Just outside your own little gate is Mad Dog or if you prefer something a little more formal Top of the Baths with a full menu is right there too . The wonderful folks at Guavaberry manage the property. Maid service is provided every day by charming staff. Guavaberry maintains a very well stocked commissary just down the road from the house where you can buy just about everything you need for your stay. In summary we can safely say that this is a 5 star property on a 5 star island. We can't wait to get back!
“Welcome To Paradise”
If you are looking for beauty, peace and quiet, relaxation, yet excitement at your fingertips, this is the place for you! Las Brisas is amazing. First, the views are spectacular. The multiple decks give you a panaramic view of both wonderful vegetation and the Caribbean sea. The gardens are carefully thought out and perfectly highlighted. The appointments are colorful, tropical, and fun both inside and out. One of the other positives is the privacy factor. While close and convenient to several fun things, you pool and back deck area is completely enclosed and you can feel like you are in your own world. But with this exclusivity also comes a wonderful "host" in the Guavaberry staff. They are like having a personal concierge service to help you navigate not just the the island but the whole set of islands in the area. We were met at the boat when we got there in the evening and were driven wherever we wanted whenever we wanted for our whole stay. And the store/commissary literally has everything you could want! As I mentioned, the location is so convenient to fun! From the short walk to Mad Dogs bar, to a great restaurant an additional 50 feet away, you feel you have everything you want. But when you include the world famous Baths beach and snorkeling area 5 walking minutes and Guavaberry's private beach at a less than 10 minute walk, you have found unlimited fun. But the home is so nice we found ourselves just staying there and relaxing! The pool was good size and always clean and the perfect temperature. The outdoor shower reminded me of a 5 star villa. And the kitchen had everything you could want, and if you could think of something else, the staff got it to you. Just a slice of heaven!

What can I possibly say that hasn't been said already? There's good reason that we'll be on our 7th stay in June 2011...we haven't found a place that can beat this one. It has all that we look for...beautifully maintained structure and grounds; privacy plus (hard to imagine how with its proximity to the roadway and Las Brisas main house but take my word, the lush surroundings envelop you); great location adjacent to The Baths National Park, the Mad Dog watering hole, 2 minutes to Spring Bay Beach and 5 minutes to Spanish Town; Private pool for when you just cannot stand the beach any longer; twin hammocks in the shade and even a nice ocean view to the southeast. The owners are commited to providing a place that you'll look forward to returning to and for that we thank them.
