The Sequoia River Cabin is nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills, in a quaint village known as Three Rivers, Gateway to the Sequoias. We are just minutes to the Ash Mountain entrance of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
Our cute and cozy cabin has a well-equipped kitchen and gas BBQ. There is a queen-size bed in the step-up bedroom loft, a queen-size sleeper sofa and a 7-foot window seat which a child can comfortably sleep on. The cabin is ideal for a couple, or a couple with children. The rear deck is just steps away from the Main Fork of the Kaweah River.
If the dates you're looking for aren't available, ask us about our new luxury yurt / roundhouse rental which will be available starting June 2015. It is in Three Rivers, Mineral King area, sleeps two, with spectacular mountain views.
While we do welcome your pets, please note that dogs are not allowed on any trails in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks. There is a pet fee of $35 per pet per stay.
Relax in the outdoor Jacuzzi bathtub, listen to the sounds of the river and marvel at the Blue Heron and various duck species that call the river home. You just might see some deer at the river's edge.
If you enjoy fishing, you can fish in the river just steps from the deck in the springtime.
In the evening, relax in the lounge chairs by the river and be mesmerized by the spectacular star-studded night sky.
In the springtime, you can sit on the deck and catch a glimpse of the whitewater rafters and kayakers as they make their way down the river.
We offer plush towels, quality linens and a down comforter. We also provide spa-quality eco-friendly toiletries for our guests, as well as coffee, assorted teas, sugar, creamers, gourmet salt and pepper mills, olive oil, paper towels, foil, Ziploc baggies and more. Satellite TV, Netflix and WiFi are available as well.
This historic cabin was originally built as a fishing retreat decades ago and has evolved a number of times since then. In the '70s it was Little Rainbow, the workshop of our local silversmith. After that it became a private residence, and later a trendy coffee house named The Cabin. The Cabin later became The Buckaroo, also a coffee house/burger joint. The rustic old building has now been renovated and is again a Sequoia river retreat. The old charm remains, but indoors you will enjoy the bright, comfortable interior and the spectacular view through the French doors. The Main Fork of the Kaweah River runs just beyond the back deck and is beautiful any season of the year.
