Cottage Profile This spectacular, eco-friendly 2200 square foot cottage is located on Hay Bay only 4 km from the village of Tobermory. When you enter the large living room you will be struck by the large windows, cathedral ceilings, natural pine floors, split hemlock paneling and large natural stone gas fireplace. In this living area is a leather couch, a couple of comfortable chairs, and a 32" LCD television. Adjacent to the living room is the large eat-in kitchen with stainless steel appliances (fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher), stone counter tops, natural stone backsplash and a food prep island with sinks. The harvest table in the kitchen is made up of large wooden hemlock planks finished in a natural state. The table has a bench on one side and chairs on the other. Next to the dining area are sliding glass doors leading out to a covered deck containing a picnic table and propane barbeque. At the opposite end of the house is the master bedroom, with an elevated queen size bed, large glass windows and a four-piece ensuite bathroom. On the second storey there are two large bedrooms each with two queen beds and a private balcony. Also on the upper level is a three-piece bathroom with a large shower. Inbetween the bedrooms is a loft area with seating space containing a leather chair, ottoman, small desk, and view of the lower floor. This is a great place to snuggle up with a good book. The cottage is surrounded by a cedar forest and a fairly private setting. The lakeside yard of the cottage is grassy and has an outdoor firepit with four wooden chairs. the cottage is clean and nice except that there's no instructions as to where to locate stuffs such as the gas for the bbq, if we ran out of it we dont where and how to replace it and also make sure to give out correct and more detailed driving direction. overall, it is good, its clean and nice.

For the price we paid and the condition of the house. It was better than expected. The pictures and description of the place was exactly as it was which was very impressive. I'm not sure if the owner left some supplies or the previous renter but there was cooking oil, some paper and toilet paper. The place was amazing. We were very free/independent as well which was great. Didn't have to see anyone to get the key or return the key. Didn't have to deal with the management office or have someone knocking on our door unexpectedly which was great. The location was great too. The place was very private. The only thing i would suggest adding onto description is bring your own blanket as well.

We stayed at this cottage last week and it had everything, from a brand new BBQ to a dishwasher and microwave to wireless internet. The dining room table, made of what looks like a reclaimed barn door was a nice touch. I now want one for myself.. There were at least 2 kinds of coffee makers, a whole set of pots and pans, dishes cups and flatware... all you have to do is bring your own groceries. The fire pit outside is perfect. There's a new washer and dryer... The last day we were there we used them, worked like a charm btw, there was detergent there already, and I think we left some dryer sheets so there should be plenty of that for the next few renters haha...
The cottage is very private, trees all around the property, and it backs onto a little lake where we saw a variety of birds flying around and beavers swimming. When you first walk in the cottage it still has that new wood smell, and it's very bright and spacious.
The directions to the cottage are just fine as given in the rental information booklet. Just keep going down the road until you see the property number they give you. It is almost at the end of the road. It's about a 5 minute drive from the business section of Tobermory, which is far enough away from everyone but close enough if you need to run out to get some necessities.
The nights are very quiet and we felt safe, we were not be bothered by anyone.
I feel that we got lucky picking this property, which we did at complete random by the way. I gave it 5 stars all around because it really has everything and I would recommend it to anyone. Next time we're up that way, I will definitely try to book this cottage again.

This is a great cottage. New , spacious, clean. We including 2 kids (one is 4 yrs old, the other 1.5 yrs old) with another friend family who have one 2 years boy. Total 7 people had a great relaxing vacation there.
The only problem is the map provided by the agent not so accurate. It took us a while to locate the cottage.
When we were there, the neighbor next to it was on construction. But because the long weekend, it not really anything happened. The following week, you can hear some noise, but not bother that much. The privacy was great, I will say 5 star.
It's 2 story cottage with three bathrooms which were really convenient for us -- two families having three little children.
Everything in the kitchen was good too. So we cooked most time, because we have such little kids. We felt sorry that we didn't quite clean it when we leaving in rush. It's our first time, with this experience we know what we should do in the future.
Again, this is a beautiful, comfortable cottage to stay on the vacation. We do recommend it to others who are also interested.
