Cottage Profile Large 1800 square foot, four bedroom waterfront cottage located on the shores of Hopkins Point, Lake Huron. This cottage is located on a really nice lot, in a private setting. The large lakeside deck has four Muskoka chairs and a great view of the lake. There is a grass lawn at both the front and rear of the cottage for the kids to play. A gravel path leads down to the flat limestone waterfront - this is a beautiful shoreline. Entry into the lake is shallow and on flat rocks - swim shoes are recommended. There are also 4 kayaks available for exploring the bay. There is a huge deck across the front of the cottage with areas to relax (in both sun and shade) so you can enjoy the view and the serene surroundings. On the roadside of the cottage is a second large sheltered deck with outdoor patio table and chairs. As previously mentioned the cottage is in a private setting. The cottage is the second-last cottage on a dead end road and a 300 foot driveway leads from the road to the cottage. Dense cedar forest completely screens the cottage from its neighbours. The cottage is two storeys tall. On the ground floor is a large living room couch, love seat, chairs, 24 inch television with satellite receiver, DVD player, stereo system with CD player, wood stove and large windows that provide a great view of the lake. Adjacent to the living room is the dining area with table and chairs to sit eight comfortably and a large window with a wonderful view of the lake. The cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and plenty of cupboard and counter space. Also on the ground floor is one bedroom with a queen bed, a laundry room with washer and dryer and a three piece bathroom with shower. An open staircase leads up to the second floor where you will find a large three-piece bathroom with a bathtub, and you'll also find three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have double beds (one also has a crib) and the other bedroom has a queen bed. There also is an open reading area with comfy chairs. Here will also find a walkout to a deck overlooking the lake. The reading area provides extra sleeping space with a fold-out futon. Tobermory is short distance away (9 km), where you can stroll through the shops in the village, visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise where you can view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular. For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream. A 10 minute drive away, guided tours are available along the Niagara Escarpment, or along the sandy shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron. Amphitheater programs are available at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are informative and entertaining. This is a spacious cottage located in a beautiful setting, perfect for your holiday!

Dreamscape cottage was a wonderful place to relax and play on the lake with the four provided kayaks. There is a wonderful fire pit for roasting s'mores and viewing sunsets and stars. The cottage is the quietest place I have ever stayed!
Keep in mind this is a cottage with no dishwasher or air conditioning. Well water is the water supply with a small shower downstairs and bath tub only up stairs. There are three bedrooms and a great sunroom upstairs, with another bedroom downstairs. This is a well appointed cottage, but not fancy. We really enjoyed the privacy and quiet the home provided. We also thought the location was great, close to Tobermory and other towns. You definitely need a car for this location and bring mosquito repellant.

Absolutely nothing negative. Location is perfect- very private, and only a short drive into Tobermory if need be. The cottage was well equipped and exactly as described. Even the beds were comfortable! Kayaking was wonderful(don't forget your water shoes)and the sunsets outstanding. Pick one of the many decks/porches any time of the day and you have a choice of sun or shade. The deck by the water was great for watching sunsets and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Outstanding time spent with our two adult children and their partners!
Small enough for the ladies...big enough for the babies

This was our first "Ladies & Babies" weekend, 5 ladies, 2 babies. The combo kitchen, eating, living area was wonderful, we all stayed connected no matter what each of us were doing. The bedrooms were huge and comfy - a must with 2 babies. Beautiful sunsets on the deck by the water, which was just far enough away from the cottage - a must with 2 babies ;-) The most thoughtful thing: the fire was laid!!

We were five adults, but found the cottage very spacious. The location is quite private, and the lakefront deck was just lovely!!
There were some water difficulties earlier on (no pressure), but the response was very fast and the problems were solved.

We had a fun week and had some great hikes. The scenery is gorgeous
and Tobermory was uncrowded and pleasant. Hopkins Bay sunsets
were beautiful from the cedar deck and kayaking was terrific. The
house was comfortable and roomy and quiet. We found some good
places to eat and shop. We loved it.
