From the time we got to the cottage we realized how lucky we were as the view was simply magnificent! The accomodations were very cozy and felt like being at home... except when the curtains a drawn you are faced with a breath taking site of the lake and various boats going by. The yard was very spacious and everything that was promised online turned out to be absolutely true. Without a doubt we will be booking again!
“A very nice, clean cottage in an excellent location.”

This was a very nice, clean cottage in an excellent location. It is minutes from all the shops and restaurants in town, has an excellent view of the harbor and it's a short drive to other sights in the area. We could watch the Chi-Chemaun ferry and boats coming in to and out of the harbor from the front deck or from the glassed in sunroom. Lots of pillows and comforters, lots of dishes, a microwave, coffee maker and toaster were provided. The cottage had a water cooler which was nice since drinking water needed to be brought in and a propane barbecue (water and propane can be purchased in town). A dishwasher and laundry facilities were added luxuries. There was also lots of property for children to run around safely. There were a number of books around to look at and a visitor guide; there was even a set of binoculars to use if you don't have your own. The only drawback was the low water pressure in the bathroom; the water from a shower took a long time to drain, running a tub was not an option and the toilet didn't always flush properly.

Location of cottage is perfect for viewing. If you don't have anything to do but stay inside, just sit in sofa and watch Chi-Cheemaun loading and unloading. It smells bad at the beginning once we enter the house as it's bit old. So if scent sprayer is provided, that would be best. Wifi is little limited range, my phone can't access internet even in dining room. Tv is too old, but kids could go outside and have more activities instead of sitting in front of TV.

You are front row to the Tobermory sunsets over the western islands sitting on the porch of this well appointed cottage. There is everything you need and more. The breezy porch is perfect for after dark. We came a long distance and enjoyed this quaint cottage.
“Great location close to marina and diving charters.”

Good location , everything worked except freezer, lost a nice beef roast. Parking was not obvious the driveway looked like a through street. When I tried to park on the grass the owner came charging at me going nuts , that was not a nice welcome. The interior had many personal items that made my wife feel spooked such as habituaries posted in several places in the living room . Very outdated cottage needs to be renovated badly.

We loved this rustic cabin! The location is super...dive and snorkel sites right out the front door in the harbor. With ferries and boats coming and going it's a postcard anytime of day and especially at sunset!
The cabin is old and quaint with an interesting history and has been modernized in stages... it's clean and roomy but don't expect brand new anything. Everything works and we were delighted with the value for the money. The whole of Tobermory's attractions are within walking distance.
