The cottage was clean and well equipped. The view from the cottage is great and we loved how close it was to Cypress Lake and Singing Sands. Kid friendly and lots of privacy.Lots of games and a basketball net. Nice and relaxing also. It was windy every day and the waterfront was not the best that we had, we did not swim there often but rode their bikes to Singing Sands. It was well situated however for exploring the area. Stars at night were beautiful. It is a shame that we could not use the sauna and sign some sort of waiver to do so, bit of a tease. It would have been great as the nights were cool.

When you book a cottage on-line, sight unseen, it is a leap of faith that you get what you want. Little Eagle Point was far beyond what was advertised. It is one of those gems that you never want to leave. The cottage itself is spacious and very well kept; but the grounds, the deck/patio and that view of Lake Huron are priceless.

My family enjoyed our holiday at the cottage this past summer. It was early in the season so the water was a bit nippy but with Singing Sands around the corner we were able to enjoy both quick cool off dips and long lazy swims. There is lots of toys for my daughter to play with plus a shelf full of movies and another full of books for the evening entertainment.
My mother and I were really happy with everything the kitchen had in it for appliances and tools.

We had never stayed at this particular cottage before, but were very pleased with the experience. When we had first called to book the cottage, one of your representatives had indicated that she had seem the cottage and that it was truly a family friendly cottage--she was right. We have a 3 year old and an 18 month old and I could not have imagined a better cottage for families with young children. All the kid-friendly "extras" were greatly appreciated. The crib and the little playroom were particularly wonderful. The cottage kitchen was well equipped and it was clean without feeling sterile (i.e. you weren't terrified your kids would spill something or dent something). We had a very memorable evening dinner and campfire out by the beach one night and the sunsets were truly incredible. The only suggestions I have for future would be to more clearly indicate where the reverse osmosis tap was--we weren't familiar with a reverse osmosis system and didn't realize it was a seperate tap (which was partially hidden when we arrived--I can't recall why). As a result, we drank untreated water for the first 48 hours--our fault definitely, but a little note by the 2nd tap would have helped. We also found the mattresss very uncomfortable and the plastic cover on the master bed made us feel like we were toddlers again! However, I can't say enough about what a wonderful week we had at that cottage and hope to return again at some point. It was a dream cottage and location for us at this time in our lives. Thank you kindly to the family that rents it out.

My family and my sister's family went together to the cottage and we had the greatest time we've ever had together. The house was big enough that we weren't in each others way. The view, the rocks, the water waa all beautiful. The owner of the property is a great guy as we discovered when the barbeque quit on us and he had a new one delivered right away. Just an awesome time overall and hated to leave. We are definitely coming back again. The only thing we can say needed a bit of improvement was the matresses on the double and single beds...they were a bit lumpy. Other than that it was just the best experience. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

lovely remotish location with great stoney beach on the water and not
far from walking trails an a beach. Clean and well designed. However
kitchen so cluttered with dishes and glasses etc no place to put any

the worst I even slept in in the free world and had to cut the vacation
short due to the poor sleeping conditions. Two elements on the stove
did not work properly which for a gas stove is dangerous. Remotes

machine buttons. Garage was full of stuff yet was promised in rental

Had a few rounds of discussions with the renting company and they
finally issued me a partial credit but it took some screaming and
yelling before they came through. If all this is fixed it is a good place.
If not stay clear of it.
Thank you for bringing your comments to our attention.
The owner of the cottage has taken steps to address your concerns. New mattresses have been purchased to replace the mattresses on the queen and double beds, the stove have been repaired, the remote controls fixed and the kitchen reorganized to free up cupboard space.
We have also change the description of the garage on the web site to indicate that it is only for storage of bikes and other cottage accessories, not vehicles.

Little Eagle Point is perfect for family vacations. Our 3-year old son enjoyed all the toys and outdoor facilities (especially slide and sandbox) that were available at the cottage tremendously. We were particularly fond of the space in the cottage and the property itself. The cottage is nicely decorated, well equipped and very cozy. Great music collection, too. One can truly relax and there is something to do for everybody (fantastic hiking, interesting trips, basketball, making a bonfire, collecting lost items on the beach..;-)). The sunsets are spectacular and my husband was up early in the morning to capture the beautiful colors of sunrises on camera as well....
The staff was very helpful and cleaning services were available which was great. We would like to take this opportunity to thank CottageRentals and the cottage owners for making this holiday one to remember.
