Cottage Profile This four bedroom waterfront cottage is 2000 square feet and is located on the shores of Warner Bay near the historic Village of Tobermory. This cottage has the ideal setup for two families by having two bedrooms and a bathroom at either end of the cottage with a common central kitchen and living room. The open concept main centre area has a large living room with cathedral ceilings, large stone fireplace, LCD television, Satellite, DVD, VCR, and stereo with CD Player. Also in this area is the dining area with table and chairs capable of sitting eight for dinner. Also in this "main" area is a large fully equipped kitchen with plenty of counter and cupboard space, fridge, stove and microwave oven. One of the nicest features of this cottage is the large lakeside sunroom, with table, chairs, and other sitting area. The flagstone patio and walkway surround three sides of the cottage. The walkway will lead you to a sunny deck and a gently sloping shoreline. Escape the hot sun on wooden loungers located on the flagstone patio under the trees. Or just off the patio a second partial deck provides access to the 4 person paddleboat, also located at the shoreline. The cottage has a decent shoreline with flat limestone bedrock at the waters edge and shallow entry. This is a good area for swimming; swim shoes are recommended. Whether you sit in the sunroom, on the patio or the deck, you will get a great view of the sunset over Lake Huron. The cottage is located near the end of a quiet paved dead-end road with light traffic. The scenic Village of Tobermory is located 13 km away. Take a visit and stroll through the shops in the village, visit the library, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise where you view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular. For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream. A 10 minute drive away, guided tours are available along the Niagara Escarpment, or along the sandy shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron. Amphitheater programs are available at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are informative and entertaining.

the place itself is beautiful, the water and view amazing, the lay out of the cottage was great. We loved having the 2 large tables in the main area for dining and puzzles, crafts for the kids etc.
It was quite difficult getting the boats to the water. The cottage had not been aired out and it was quite musty when we got in and this never really went away. The back bedroom (by the 4 piece bathroom) was very stinky, like dog or dirty feet and maybe a fan would have helped to move the air around in the bedrooms.
We are glad that you enjoyed the cottage with its amazing view and your family enjoyed doing crafts and puzzles. Cottages that have been closed up for the winter season often have musty smells early in the season. This can often be resolved by opening windows to allow good air flow in the cottage. We do address this issue on our site in our FAQ section of the web site. With respect to the dog like smell, this property has never allowed pets so I do not think that this was the issue. It is very helpful to us if we are notified during your rental of issues like this so that we can investigate and try to correct it. Please don't hesitate to call in the future.

I like the view of this cottage, nice sunset view, very nice beach, everything sounds ok. But there are no internet! or WiFi! hot-tub is not working and only have 1 kayak. So if you dont want to stay connect with the world or only kayaking by yourself, that is a very good place.
Thank you for your comments. Please note that this cottage does not advertise internet, as it is not offered here. This cottage offers one sit-on-top kayak and a four-person paddle-boat (as indicated on the Inventory List and under the Vital Statistics on the webpage).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Warner Bay Cottage. As a family of five we had plenty of space and the views were wonderful. The cottage was clean and well maintained and had obviously had some significant upgrades done on some of the rooms. The location was excellent as well and we preferred being at Warner Bay rather than Lion's Head as it is more central to the area attractions. The only concerns we had are that it can get pretty cold at night and the satellite TV only had about 8 channels available. However we definitely enjoyed our stay and would return in the future.

service was excellent - very helpful
the cottage was is laid out wonderfully for separate families who vacation together - cottage was the best!
One complaint - get a dishwasher
Would recommend to adults getting together, but the "beach" us no good for swimmning or playing for small children.

We had a wonderful holiday at the cottage on Warner bay. The accommodation and amenities were fantastic. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. The view was breathtaking and the local attractions were very enjoyable. I would rent this cottage again.

This year will be our third visit to this delightful spacious, cottage. The master bedroom is lovely and the kitchen and bathrooms are well appointed. The sun room is an added bonus and the children appreciated the toys that the owners left for them. We all loved the beach and the many marvellous outings that are easily reached from here. Tobermory, with its quaint harbour and good shopping makes a nice diversion especially taking the boat to Flower Pot Island. We all enjoyed riding the bicycles provided - not to mention the great bakery near the cottage - the best butter tarts ever!

The cottage was everything we had expected, plus some. It's layout is conducive to having multiple family member stay and yet, cozy enough for everyone to feel like it's their home. For those that like to cook, the kitchen is a perfect place to have friends and family help prepare and cook as well as enjoying a libation or 4. We'd love to visit again and are in then process of doing so. Well done - the property is well represented!!
Fantastic sunsets, BTW...
