Imagine a penthouse located in the center of Todi in a 17th-century Umbrian walk-up building.
Welcome to my house, your vacation home! High ceilings, terra cotta floors, wooden beams, a Murano chandelier, and a huge stone fireplace provide romance, while up-to-date, upscale appliances and central location give you practicality and easy living.
Let me walk you through the house: from the great room to the kitchen, from the two master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms to the powder room.
The great room combines elegant dining with comfortable living areas. The wood-burning fireplace provides a rustic touch, while the Murano chandelier and lovely furnishings help you settle into luxury.
The kitchen is fully furnished for living with an upmarket dishwasher, expanded refrigerator, oven, and double sink. There are a full range of appliances (microwave oven, mixer, vacuum cleaner) and a generous complement of silverware, cookware, and china.
FIRST MASTER BEDROOM AND ENSUITE BATHROOM
It is a spacious and romantic room with a King-size canopy bed and a walk-in closet. The 4-piece terra cotta tile and travertine bathroom includes a tub and a marble vanity.
SECOND MASTER BEDROOM AND ENSUITE BATHROOM
This room is an apartment within itself! It is a two-story suite with a private loft office and garret bedroom. The lower floor includes a full-size bed and an armoire. The loft is a convenient, self-contained reading space with a single bed, off of which are the bathroom and the garret. The bathroom has a heated towel rail and beautiful exposed beams.
The garret is accessed through a child-size door and has a cozy low ceiling. It is a magical space, especially for children, that includes a twin-size bed, ample floor space for playing, and a gorgeous view of Todi and the valley. It's a wonderful space for relaxation or sleeping, and will help your smaller companions feel right at home!
Aside from being a lovely retreat room for guests, the powder room houses the washer and dryer (a rarity in Italian homes!).
MEGGY'S HOME - ITALIANO
Todi is a hilltop town, and the main piazza (the Piazza del Popolo) is located near the apartment. My building is effectively on a level with the Piazza del Popolo, and is a two-minute walk from the Piazza del Popolo. Just down the hill, you may visit Sta. Maria della Consolazione, and across the street may be found the lovely public park with gorgeous views and San Fortunato church. In the mood for a spectacular sunset? Walk about 50 meters to the Giardinetti, another small park, and you're there. Shopping and dining are all conveniently located within less than 150 meters, and pastry shops offering homebaked goods and delicious coffee can be easily found. In other words, no matter your tastes, you're just a step away! And you are also close to wonderful and amazing towns. Deruta, Orvieto and Perugia are just 30 minutes away. Assisi, Montefalco and Lake Trasiento are about 45 minutes away. Rome is reachable in 1 hour and 30 min, Florence in 2. It is the great starting point for any day trip.

Meggy's home is really lovely. Unlike most vacation rentals, it is well equipped, with plenty of plates, linens, and so on. And the furnishings are really lovely...not the cheap stuff one often encounters!
The location is perfect. Todi is a wonderful town for walking, and Meggy's home is right in the middle of everything. Restaurants are right there, there is parking right across the street, and ( if the street parking is full) there is a parking lot lower down with an elevator that lets you out just steps away from Meggy's home. So convenient!
“Gorgeous Well appointed Penthouse apartment In Beautiful Locatio”

We spent 10 days at the gorgeous penthouse apartment in pretty Todi. English speaking Benny greeted us (she is just lovely) making sure everything is just right. It really was the nicest place I have ever stayed in my 15+ years of renting holiday flats. Todi is a beautiful Umbrian hill top town that is centrally located for the many day trips we took (Orvietto, Assisi, Perugia,Civitella Di Bagnoregio, etc!!). It was wonderful to come home to "our" apartment in Todi, have a fire in the fireplace and use the well appointed kitchen to prepare some delicious Italian food purchased in one of the many well stocked stores in Town.We strolled and ate gelato every evening in Todi, no matter how tired from the day we were. The apartment did not disappoint in anyway. We did not mind the stairs, but it might be difficult for the elderly or someone with a disability. Both Todi and the penthouse were like stepping back in time but without leaving any of the luxuries behind! We plan on returning again soon and will definitely stay at Meggy's penthouse!
